O-kay! Imagine me dusting my hands off in accomplishment just there. I have some things to share with you all!

First, thanks to everyone who came down and helped clean up the Helix Station and get things running down there again. Home sweet home. I've run a few tests just to make sure, but it seems like our portal is safe and functional again. Credit where it's due, your Dr. Ingram does actually sometimes know what he's doing. So! If you guys need special tools or materials from home, or just want something to make your stay a little easier, we can get right back to doing those special orders! Just run it by me first, since there are still some limitations - can't be too big, for one, and I do kind of feel a little responsible for the stuff that comes through there so don't be too offended if I say no to your request for napalm unless you have a really important use for it.

This thing sucks up a lot of power when we pull in specific items, so let's start by just asking for one thing per person and I'll see how that goes. Got it?

Second, more good news! I've been trying out a few things based on Alastair's research. Repayment for the cleaning and all that, as promised. I tried doing the opposite direction this time - sent a note to a world, then was able to pull it back through, so that works. Does it work with living people, though? No idea. Let's not try until we get rid of the World Eater that's bearing down on us all, because I don't really like the idea of having you all turn yourselves to ambiguous goo by mistake and spending the rest of my days hiding under the lake by myself.

Lastly, I know some of you saved some samples of the other World Eater, right? Has anyone had a chance to look at it? Because it might be helpful to compare it with what we learned about the green-eyes we had here. I'd like to see if my ideas are right. It could be really helpful in making a more effective weapon. I want to help, and I've got the tools to build another bomb, but I want to do it right in case this is our one and only shot, so let me know if you've found anything out. Or if you have more plutonium, for that matter.

All right? All good? If we can beat this thing, this world might finally get to catch a break. I'd like to see life here. Real life, not like us. I think we've got a chance.

GREETINGS!

I LOVE BEACON! this is such a great town! i wish i could have seen it before it flooded but i think it is still very good and just needs a little bit of care to make it even better

that is where i come in because i am very good at looking after things! dr. solis always had me look after her things and she had a very large number of things to look after and so do you because see! look!

THERE ARE [87] TORCHES REMAINING

[and attached is, well, a photo of the bonfire]

like that! do you think it would be ok if i help look after these?

An OOC note: Say welcome to Beacon's new bonfire keeper! When requesting or turning in torches, Clara will now be the one to deal with as Rastus is gone. However, she is not in charge of item requests the way he was. We will elaborate on how item requests work soon once the location post for Solis' Lab goes up.

[The message opens with a video. The audio is plagued with static and the picture stutters and fuzzes out occasionally, like the file's been corrupted in the upload, but it's still a video.

Pluto sits in her wheelchair in the foreground, and behind her is a large mess hall lit up with electric lighting. The cafeteria tables are packed with a few dozen people—a careful observer might be able to spot Alistair, Sypha, and the other Night Market vendors among their ranks. It seems most of the station has turned up to listen to whatever Pluto's got to say.]

Hey hey, fools. Miss me?

[She grins at the camera, flashing a peace sign.]

I hear the Wild Hunt paid y'all a visit, made their little plea, "oh, help us end the world!" What a crock of shit.

It ain't fair that they get to swoop in and play hero like it's gonna do their cause any good. You'll notice we never asked anyone to commit to shit. We were happy just helpin' out and working together! But now those cave-dwellers went and changed the game, so seems we gotta step up and make our own offer.

Here's the deal: why should we let the World Eaters decide our fate? You wanna deprive future lost souls of a second chance? Makes way more sense to fight back and build ourselves a new home than to, what, lay down and die? Fuck that!

The Wild Hunt wants you to be weak and they're all dressing it up like it's for the greater good, but who gives a shit? If you're that upset about this second chance being "unnatural" or whatev, g'head and off yourself. We don't got room for weaklings on my team.

And why's that, you ask? 'Cause we got a plan of our own to take down these World Eaters. I ain't broadcasting it until I know who I can trust, but catch me at the next Market visit. We'll talk. Hell, maybe you can figure it out already. You guys are lil smarty-pants, I've heard.

So! Seems to me like y'all got a choice to make, huh? You side with them, or you side with us. Feel free to play it safe and stick yourself in the middle if you seriously need more convincing, but if you sign up with the Hunt? Don't come crawling to the docks looking for our help. You made your choice, fam.

My signal's only gonna hold up for a minute or two here, but I'll be back in a couple weeks when the Market visits again. Hold your applause 'til then, yeah?

I'll see you soon, gang. Watch yourselves, in the meanwhile. Later.

[The crowd behind her erupts into whooping and cheering as Pluto signs off, and there's a brief moment where she starts to laugh and wheels on the Market to behave, jeez, I'm tryna send a professional message here!, and then the feed ends.

Pluto won't be able to respond to this message! You're all welcome to chatter amongst yourselves like on a bulletin post for now, and Pluto will be around at the next Night Market visit to answer all the questions you probably have.

Oh, and check out the mod announcement we've just put up to accompany this post!]

Heyyyyyy everybody... I hope you're all doing okay. :( Rastus has been keeping me up to date. Did everyone make it back alive? Do you guys need anything?? I'll grab some extra medical supplies for the next ferry.

Oh! Speaking of medical stuff, word on the street is that the green-eyed spirits have cleared out from the hospital and stuff. Whatever sorta rescue mission you guys pulled, it sounds like it was effective. I'd maaaaybe take it easy for a few days since we have OTHER STUFF to worry about right now, but once that mirror lady and her goons clear out, you guys should go check out that med center!!! There's a bunch of useful stuff over there.

ANYWAY, I hear the Wild Hunt is in town. :/ I don't LIKE that they're in town, but Rastus is Mr. Diplomat over here and HE thinks the polite thing to do is to let Kimiko hang out for a couple days since she was kinda helpful or w/e. Ugh. I guess he has a point since like, they DID help get all you guys outta trouble... And Rastus says Kimiko's all offering to have her cave gremlins teach you survival skills and crap, and they'll help clean up and help anyone who's hurt, so like, OK FINE.

But this is just temporary!!! I said the Wild Hunt is only allowed to stay in town until Thursday, and by Friday they'd better have scurried back to their dumb mines. >:(

Just don't let them make you drink the koolaid, OK? I don't know much about them because they've been in hiding for yeeeeears and it's not like they keep in touch!! All I know is the spirits call them the Fire Snatchers and they apparently really want to destroy the bonfire and stuff. They're all, oh let's just let ourselves get munched by World Eaters!! Sounds super duper fun!!!!! /rolls eyes

If you got questions about them, maybe just ask Kimiko? And then, like, LMK... 👀 I gotta compile notes on these guys now because that's my job. They don't have network access, so we can talk smack all we want and they'll never see. :P

I hope you're all doing OK ❤❤❤ bye!!

[The voice in the audio clip is quiet, weary, and a little bit nervous. She gets right to the point, though—small talk isn't really Dr. Solis' thing.]

Hello, everyone. My name is Dr. Maridel Solis. I... apologize, as I am never sure how to best introduce myself. I am the last surviving native of this world, and I am the scientist responsible for the portal. I created the lighthouse, the lanterns, and I repair the lanterns of the dead. I think it's about time we began working together.

I'm sure you all have many questions for me. I will do my best to answer as best I can, but first, allow me to explain a few things.

I imagine some among you will be cross with me for lurking behind the scenes for so long. During the first few resets, I made my presence known right from the start. Problems arose rather immediately—it's quite a shock, as I'm sure you all will understand, to find yourself in a place such as this. Too much, too soon... This is an impossible situation we've found ourselves in, and the full scope of it is too likely to turn fear into panic. I do my best not to shout fire! in a crowded theater these days, for everyone's safety.

In any case, please know that I am truly sorry that you have found yourselves in this place, and I'm grateful for your help.

The second reason for my seclusion is that, frankly, I've been quite busy. Busy with research, with lantern crafting and repair... It's easier for me to continue my work while separated from the rest of the town until I am ready to present my findings to the townspeople for help.

During the attack on the town this past November, Robin was given a lantern by the green-eyed spirits. The thing was in pieces, barely recognizable as a lantern, and as such, it's taken me until recently to identify its owner, but—this lantern belonged to a lighthouse keeper from many years ago. One of the best we've had, in fact. What's more is, I believe I may be able to revive him.

The revival will take time, as I still have many preparations to make before we can begin the process. In the meantime, I would very much like to hear from anyone with a background in the sciences, magical or otherwise. Your skills and knowledge sets may be of use, as I will have need for materials I believe can be found in Beacon, although I'm at an impasse as to what, precisely, those materials might be. For now, I would simply like to get a scope of what other capable minds we have among us so that I may best understand how to utilize our strengths.

Regarding the incident on the ferry: frightening as though the forest spirit prank was, I assure you, it's nothing to be alarmed by. The portal is unstable, and occasionally its schedule fluctuates. I believe that is all that happened in this case; the forest spirit, ahem, corpses are... unrelated. Pranksters getting carried away with themselves.

When the next batch of new arrivals will show, I can't be certain. We'll simply have to wait and see what the next ferry brings, though I doubt the portal will keep us waiting for too long. It never does.

As I've said, I imagine you have questions for me, and I am happy to answer as best I can. I will... set up an inbox for myself, I suppose. I'll be sure to make that information available on the network directory.

Stay safe.

[The audio feed clicks off. Attached to the message is a written transcript of the whole broadcast.

ooc: More information about the lantern revival plot will be available in the future! Right now, she's just collecting data... Dr. Solis will need assistance from many different skillsets, so there's room for everyone to get involved at some stage! No worries if your character isn't a huge nerd.

Also, the game history page has been updated!]

Hi everyone!! I've got some exciting news!!!! O:

Oh, wait, hold on - a couple weeks ago Peter pointed out that you guys like super don't know what I look like or anything since I'm not around town. Whoops! I forgot! I'm sorry! So, like, here's a little selfie to dispel the ~mystery~...

[She attaches a picture!]

That's meeee. :) Super cute, right? But OK!!! Moving onto the fun stuff.

You should all head down to the beach like right away! I got some reeeeeeally neat stuff off the ferry this month to put on a little show for you guys... You might be able to see it a little bit from town, but your best bet is gonna be the beach! Keep your eye on the lighthouse!

And then after that, I have a cool event planned for you guys! I was thinking, like, the bonfire is still pretty contained in one spot, right? Rastus was telling me there's only a handful of torches around town, and I get that? I get that you want to like conserve this resource and all, super glad you're taking it real seriously, but like! It's meant to be USED, you know? Don't be that guy that hoards a buncha potions in Pokemon because "oh no what if I need all 99x of them one day!!!" but like, you're already fighting the Elite Four, you know?

My point is, Rastus is gonna be handing out torches like frickin' candy over the next couple days! You can take as many as you want, BUT you gotta make sure to place them around town to light this place the heck up! Put 'em in buildings or your houses or like, hell, you can light up paths and stuff to make traveling around easier! Put some on the beach to help with the dock you guys are building! IDK just put 'em in places! Use! The! Resource!

Sound good? Great! Come check out my little show down on the beach 'cos it's starting super soon! And then go DECORATE~ :) And be nice to Rastus since, like, between you and me? Talking him into a bonfire free-for-all was NOT easy. I owe him like a billion favors. You're welcome! Byeee!

Well, congratulations on managing to destroy the notion that I had seen all the idiocy this place had to offer.
Leave it to you all to find some way to sink to new lows. Literally.
I do hope you plan on not getting yourselves killed, because we may well have just lost our only way to add to the population.
Honestly, the whole thing makes me almost want to withdraw what I'm about to offer, but here I am anyway.
You can save your thanks for later.

A while ago, it came to my attention that not everyone here is used to dealing with a sunless environment.
In fact, it seems that a grand majority of you are terrestrial.
You don't know the protocols for a 24 hour cycle without daylight, and eventually that's going to have, let's say, a negative impact on your mental health.
Without your naturally-evolved signals for sleeping and waking, your circadian rhythm will become an absolute disaster.
Without UV light, your brain will not produce as much serotonin as it should.
You'll be exhausted, depressed, and withdrawn, and you'll start to suffer cognitive issues.
Memory loss, lack of coordination and concentration, etc.
In the worst of cases, you may suffer a psychotic break, which is something none of us, myself especially, want to deal with.

These are not mere hypotheticals.
Excusing what amounts to maybe a few months, I lived my entire life without a sun.
In that time I met a substantial amount of people who hadn't grown up that way, but for some reason or another chose to venture out into the void.
Many of them adapted, eventually.
The rest, to put it lightly, lost it.
Mostly that just entailed their being reduced to useless lumps, but sometimes things got a bit more exciting, and that's something I'd like to avoid.

Luckily for everyone, there's a fairly easy solution.
In addition to exercise and eating more fish and eggs, you need to regulate your sleep/wake cycle.
To assist in that, I have the gift of a simple application.
It operates as both an alarm and a stop watch.
Which may seem incredibly banal, but I assure you it'll come in handy.
Whatever makes the most sense for whatever species you are, make a schedule and keep to it.
That whole essay above wasn't just written to glorify a timer, it was written to tell you why you need one.

As an aside, this little update allows you to convert hand-written characters into text, and it also includes an application exclusively for multiple-image sharing.
The latter of which I'm sure you'll all decide is far more important, but don't forget to use the goddamn alarm.

[The aforementioned apps are attached to the post, though not separately; downloading one downloads them all. The first is, as described, a fairly simple alarm clock/timer/stop watch, and the second allows users to share multiple images at a time in a collection, like an album. The images can be captioned individually (or collectively) by the sender. And finally, the tablets now offer the option to write with your finger instead of tapping letters on a keyboard. The scribbles will be translated into text, so hopefully you have good handwriting!]

Oh, and the next person who tries to hack into my tablet is getting a very unfortunate name change on the network.

Hi everyone! I'm Robin, or the Lighthouse Keeper, for those of you I haven't talked to yet. Hello hello! Welcome to Beacon!

Sooooo I know it's been pretty dark and gloomy these past few weeks. :( I hope the little thing Rastus set up with the paper boats helped. That was like, totally his idea! And really pretty to see from up here, I gotta say.

But! I want to get some ~*~positivity~*~ flowing now, so I set up a scavenger hunt for you guys! There's a whole list of things below for you all to find, all stuff you can find in Beacon somewhere! I think, anyway. It's been a while since I've been down there, but I left the prompts pretty open-ended, so feel free to interpret stuff however you want. I'll be the judge, but since I can't be in town with you all, I want you to take selfies with the stuff on the list!!! I know that'll be kind of a pain since the tablets don't have a flash, but I'm not judging on quality. Just do your best, and be creative!

Here's a couple rules and instructions before I get to the list:

- I put up little headers for each item down below, so to submit a "find", comment with your selfie under the item header you want it to count toward. That way we can all see everyone's pictures! It'll be really cute! You guys can like, comment around on people's pictures, too.
[ooc note: submissions may come in the form of a written description of the selfie, or you can link pictures to give us the vibe! just make sure to note which thing in the picture is intended to count for the find.]

- You can totally work together on this! If a bunch of you take a big group selfie with a thing on the list, all of you will get credit for it! Teamwork is really great!

- One selfie can count toward more than one list item, but let me clarify! You could, for example, take a selfie with someone else with both of your lanterns down at the beach, and this submission could count toward list items #3, #5, and #7 all at once! BUT one "thing" in each selfie can only count toward one list item, so taking a selfie with your fabulous outfit from home could only satisfy either #9 or #10, not both. Make sense? If not, let me know!

- The scavenger hunt ends on September 25, but you can keep submitting stuff until the end of the month! I can see the timestamps on pics, though, so I'll know if you CHEATIN' 👀!!!
[ooc note: the takeaway here is that backdates selfies are allowed up until the next intro log, as prizes will arrive via the ferry. oocly, selfie timestamps mean nothing since these ain't real selfies, it's just an ic thing!]

- Everyone who participates will get... a prize! The prize will depend on MY JUDGEMENT but everyone will get something cool for chipping in! I'm gonna keep the prizes a secret, but trust me, you don't want to miss out!!!

Oookay, I think that covers everything, so... Here's the list!

  1. A forest spirit with feathers
  2. A work of art
  3. Someone who has helped you
  4. A letter
  5. Your favorite lantern
  6. Something delicious
  7. A postcard view
  8. Someone you've never spoken to
  9. Something from home
  10. A fabulous outfit
  11. Somewhere you've never been
  12. Your favorite place to be
  13. A forest spirit like you
  14. A web
  15. Something you treasure
  16. A hard-won friend
  17. The Rat King
  18. A gift
  19. Something beautiful
  20. Someone beautiful
  21. A game
  22. A forest spirit bigger than you
  23. An effort of teamwork
  24. Footprints in the woods
  25. The lighthouse

Good luck everyone! :)

This is Dr. Ingram, for those who are new. I won't waste time with pleasantries here, as I'm not exactly in the mood.

It perhaps goes without saying that I didn't expect to be the one telling you all this.
Winters would've likely phrased it in his usual well-meaning, forthright way.
But he's not here anymore, so you get what you get.

Let's start off by correcting a misconception.
I don't like Robin, and I probably never will.
We don't get along, and though I see she's neglected to share the particulars on that subject, this doesn't seem like the best time to clarify.
But you see, while I don't like her, and I don't exactly trust her, I'm also not stupid enough to think that what she's doing up there is pointlessly malicious.
She isn't toying with us simply for her own amusement, and at the moment she isn't threatening us, but I swear to whatever nonsense ancient deity you worship that if you lot manage to antagonize her into a reset, I will personally blame you.
And yes, I will likely still be around to do so.
(Your security is better this time, Miss Keeper, but let's remember that nobody's perfect.)

But that's digressing.
I suppose it might be understandable that you think she's lying about being useful, given that you haven't been told what her purpose is.
She mentioned that she was watching for something, but not what that something is.
Somethings. Plural.
They don't have a name, at least not one we know, but over the years some unfortunates no longer with us have decided to call them the World Eaters, on the assumption that they might've had something to do with the state this world is currently in.
A bit dramatic if you ask me, but it gets the job done.

What we know about these entities is scarce.
They are massive, they are ruthlessly destructive, and they cannot be reasoned with.
They are attracted to clusters of activity, of light, because that's what they feed on.
You can see why all of this might be a problem for us specifically.

If the World Eaters reach Beacon, they will wipe us off the map with much more permanence than Robin could ever manage.
This place will no longer be a viable "home" for anyone unlucky enough to survive, and we don't know if there is another.
At the moment, we strongly doubt it.
As it stands, Beacon and its lighthouse, the bonfire, the lanterns— they might very well be the last sources of light on this planet.
If the World Eaters snuff them out, then that's it.

Eventually, they always catch wind of our presence. There's just too much here for them not to notice.
And that, for those of you who haven't put two and two together yet, is why resets occur.
Lantern light seems to attract them the most.
By eliminating the concentration of it, the World Eaters can be thrown off the scent yet again, for a while, at least.
Groups who aren't making progress toward a solution are reset early, because they'd only die anyway when the World Eaters find them and it isn't worth the risk.

By my estimations and those of others, we have roughly 22-24 months.
It's a generous time limit, but it is a time limit.
Do not forget it.
And don't give her a reason to reset us beforehand.

I'm willing to answer questions, but potentially not stupid ones.
And don't expect any reassurances.
Winters and his confidence in you are both gone.

Heyyy everybody. I'm the LH Keeper. I know you guys probably got some questions for me but like sit tight first OK? I promise I'll answer eeeeverything you wanna know in just a sec. There's a couple things I wanna say.

The first one being, hi! I'm Robin. It's SO good to finally get to chat with you all, like jeez I've been hella bored over here. That party you guys just put on looked really fun. :( I'm sad I missed it! But that's kinda how it goes when you're the Keeper. Rastus said there's been a lot of talk about like fulfilling our roles and stuff, and this is mine! I'm in the lighthouse because it let's me do a bunch of stuff to manage the town and help keep the world safe, but it means I'm stuck out here all by myself and I don't get to do the fun stuff I want to do sometimes. Which is why I'm so so SO happy that you guys and gals got me hooked up to the network again! Thank you so much!!! ❤❤❤

Oh right, and you guys have had a lot of questions about what I'm protecting the town from, haven't you? Me and Will talked and he's super sure it's best if HE gives you the skinny on all that since he said he would and he wants to make good on his promise, you feel? So he's gonna do that after the ferry gets here so all the new people can get the info too. Sound good? Sorry you gotta wait just a liiiittle bit longer but there's something else I think we should talk about first...

The forest spirits are still reporting the numbers so I don't know exactly how many we're up to yet but... A lot of people went missing and probably died from how things went down after the party. I'll put all the names in the next bulletin (sorry I didn't do one this week btw! things have been kinda crazy...) but if you want to ask about your friends and stuff in the meantime, I'll do my best to tell you what I know. Maybe some of them will come back? We just have to wait and see.

But... you guys probably saw this in that post Rosinante and Riku and Peter did, but just in case you didn't: Captain Winters died, and so did Five. I didn't see what happened exactly but I saw the spirits starting to come for them all and I tried to stop them but they didn't listen. They get really angry about people coming to the lighthouse or me trying to leave, even the ones that are usually really nice.

I hope they'll both come back but I don't know if they will, so, just in case... Winters would want you all to take care of the town for him and move on you know? He won't be around when the ferry comes so make sure you all fill the new people in on what's happened and how to survive here. All that really important stuff he's been telling people is up to you guys to spread around now.

*BIG SIGH* OK WELL I don't want to end on that super negative note but now I'm all sad sooo ask me questions and stuff, and Will will tell everyone about what I'm keeping the town safe from real soon. It really is nice to meet you all!!

Evening. Here's hoping you've all started to settle in and come to terms with what's happened. A new batch of you's likely to come in on the next ferry soon, so make sure to help whoever shows up come to grips, too. Community's important here.

Let's cut to the chase: It's about time we get the Lighthouse Keeper back on the network, yeah? Problem is, only way to do this is to manually reconnect the lighthouse to the network. We'll need to run cables from the church out to the lighthouse, and we'll likely need to do some repair work while we're out there.

Some of you've been antsy 'bout getting out to the lighthouse, and I been saying it's too dangerous to try, and it is. Venturing north onto that peninsula may as well be a death sentence. Not too many folks I know ever come back from it. Still, this has to be done, and part of the conditions of the Keeper holding me over from last reset is to get her up and running again. I got no problem going alone if it comes to that, but this'll work best if we team up and keep things organized. Consider this the early stages of recruitment.

Word on the street is the forest spirits are planning a sort of welcome party for y'all, set to take place 'bout a month from now. End of August. They can be a shy lot, but evidently some of you have shown 'em signs of good faith, and they been chattering about getting to know you better. Seeing as the forest spirits defend the lighthouse something fierce and it'd be in everyone's best interest to keep in their good graces, the best time to make the trip will be during the party. They'll be distracted, which will give us enough time to get out there and make the repairs. By the time they realize what's what, we can show 'em we wasn't there to hurt the lighthouse or the Keeper. That's the only way I can figure we might make it back alive.

'Course, we'll need help with this. Can't be just me and a handful of others trekking out on our lonesome. Will's agreed to play lookout on the spirits in town, and some more eyes and ears on the party wouldn't hurt. Then we're gonna need some... ambassadors, let's say. To give the forest spirits a hand with the party and to show 'em we really do want to keep things peaceful, even if we run into trouble out in the woods.

For the time being, I'm just looking for a read on who's willing to help out. We'll talk firming up numbers in a couple weeks, after the next ferry arrives. Again, we're gonna need a lot of hands on deck here, and help from all sorts. Those of you with some sorta survival experience can help out in the woods proper, while the more charismatic lot can stay behind to make good with the spirits. Anyone who's got skill in tracking or playing look out, Will'd be able to use you, I'm sure.

Right. So. Ask your questions, tell me your ideas, and let me know what skills you've got if you want to help out. As for the details, we'll be in touch.

Thanks.

[ooc note:

Winters is planning an expedition out to the lighthouse with the intent of reconnecting the Lighthouse Keeper to the network. This expedition/forest spirit party will feature as the main event for next month (which you'll see on the August schedule going up in a few days). All of the organization re: which characters will help out with this (and which characters will accompany Winters personally) will happen via an OOC planning post that will go up next month, after new players/characters arrive so that they can get involved too!

If you have OOC questions about the logistics, don't worry, we'll give you tons more information once the OOC planning post goes up! Please hold onto your questions until then. This post is just a primer to get the plot started, and you are not required to tag in here in order to be considered for participation in the expedition! We'll be doing signups as part of the planning post.]

I'm feeling somewhat benevolent today.
After hearing a combination of your suggestions and complaints, I've decided to share.
You know, health of the community and all that.
For those of you still wildly inept with your tablets, just poke the letters that show up in a different color.

[Attached to this message, (a function not normally available for network posts,) is a link which yields several downloadable applications. Thankfully they're not malware or viruses, but hopefully helpful things, including:

- An app that translates text in images into spoken words. Good for the blind (or the illiterate). As it translates into the universal language of Beacon, it could also be used for deciphering foreign letters. Just snap a photo and you're good to go.

- A drawing app. Not as fancy as photoshop, but you can use your hands to make pretty pictures with a variety of colors and line weights.

- Related: a map app. It comes with a version of the current known map, which can be updated by the community. Shitposting will be promptly corrected. You stop that.

- And finally, a game: sudoku to be specific. Are you good at math and puzzles? Let's hope so, otherwise this will be pretty pointless for you. (This one's for you, Noctis.)

All four apps download together, so you're stuck with them even if you only wanted one. But the file isn't exactly labelled in anything other than random(?) numbers, so I suppose you wouldn't know that anyway.

Have fun, Beacon!]
