Re: Housing concern.
Greetings,
My name is [It's a struggle getting used to typing the correct name here despite the reassuring network usename.] Minimus Ambus. If you have witnessed a large mechanical life form near the ferry today, you would have seen me. I have briefly gone through the buildings near the bonfire, but many appear to be occupied or otherwise not meeting my standards.
To those who have resided here for longer than I have: where are the cleanest residences? I require little, simply a flat surface on which to recharge and storage space. The current state of the room is not a barrier, considering the state of many things in Beacon, but I must be able to maintain it well and frequently.
Signed,
Minimus Ambus

Distance should not be a concern for me. What is the landmark like?
no subject
it's a hotel! i think it's either five or six stories high
wait it's six i have a couple of friends on the penthouse floor it's six
the concierge is really nice he gives out keys for free and you can move in anywhere you like
there's lots of room!
no subject
[Very important for his mental well-being.]
Do they have single rooms? If not, I can ensure that my suitemate understands my needs.
no subject
the Landmark
gotcha
there should be single rooms still open on the second floor!
do you need directions or is the map on the tablet gonna work for you?
no subject
[Now there are single sentences per line. Which...does help keep this writing organized. He hopes most people here use proper spelling and punctuation.]

i'm guessing you'd complain about just standing out in the woods, so try downtown. there's plenty of "regular rigid structures" around.
no subject
That sounds it will be a better place to live than these wooden structures. I will update my address accordingly once I am settled.
[Which may take a week.]
Are there communal cleaning supplies which I may use?

( so much for that limited spot of helpfulness... she's already back to being a brat. she's an honest brat, tho, Carmilla isn't known for her.. . . .... cleanliness.. .. . .. )

[He doesn't believe you. Everyone dusts. Everywhere disinfects.]

Does your world happen to have a language called Latin?
no subject
[He recalls something like that in the data package he received about the planet. There were old hymns in Latin, yes. Very haunting music.]
no subject
I only bring it up because in that language, your name has a rather... interesting meaning.
Something like "the lesser of both" or "the smaller one".
This isn't actually relevant to anything, I was just concerned over whether this was a case of cognates or cruel parenting.
no subject
The translation (or could it be simply a false cognate?) feels like a stab in his Spark, something that he had avoided thinking for millennia. It has to be some sort of cruel "joke" on the other's part, but what would he know of his situation? He doesn't know of the better people in his life. It's simply an unfortunate coincidence.]
I am of the House of Ambus, if you are curious about my second name. If there is anything to which I can be compared and be regarded as "smaller" it would be my sparkbrother, who is only seven kliks older than me.
[And his twin brother was the greatest Ambus who ever existed so it's not like those names are wrong...]

I assure you that I am not here to indulge in one's fantasies. I am simply a Cybertronian among a majority human population.

You don't have to be humble about it! It's a-okay!
Being a giant robot is freaking cool even if all you do all day is stand around looking pretty.
