Hi! I’m Daylight. Um… I know a lot’s been happening and we’re all trying to figure out what we can do to help. It’s actually why I’m making this post now, honestly.

A few months back we had this scavenger hunt event. It was run by Ms. Robin- [ he falters here, the memory of her latest post still fresh in his processors.

he shakes his helm, grateful that no one can see him, and continues on: ] -and I got something for participating in it. It was a phrase from the forest spirits' language. The one where we use with the ocarinas and language app she also set up for us in our tablets.

A friend of mine- Riku, he's really nice - he said he also got one. So did someone else after the event. So I’m thinking she must have given to everyone who participated in it and I'm hoping you guys, if you have it, can pass them along to me. I want to try and use the phrases we have to figure out more about their language. Make more phrases, find new words. Stuff like that. I want to talk to them. See if they can direct me to the green-eyed spirits.

Yeah, sure. It's no trouble at all. I need more things to fill up my time. [ That aren't... you know. Terrible things, or depressing things. This seems really pleasant. ] And I've really missed music? I normally have music on all the time in the background when I'm working. So I guess I'll just need to learn how to make my own, in addition to... trying to make spirit sounds.

[ daylight perks up at the end, intrigued by what she said. ]

Do you want me to teach you? The spirit sounds, I mean. I know how to play the ocarina and got most of the phrases and notes down. [ he pauses, feeling a bit embarrassed. ] Um! Only if you want to, Elle. If you want to do this by yourself than I get it.

[antiwhat]

[ There's a pause, but only because she's mulling over the logistics of it all. ]

No, no, it'd be great if you could teach me. Then I can get faster into the whole... translation part. As long as you have the time.

[ Die and learn new skills. She can dig it. Probably. ]

Of course I'll have time for you, Elle! We're in this together! [ one could hear the sheer ':D!' in his voice when he says that.

he hums a bit, adding in a surprisingly thoughtful tone: ] I'll be a bit busy this month with what I have planned but after the new year comes in- I can teach you much as you want.

Does that sound good to you?

That sounds super, Daylight. [ Jeez, Daylight, be less cute, why don't you? Elle's not used to people just accepting her like this. She's the Weirdo. ] I'll start putting a feeler out for instruments in the meantime. Hopefully, people won't mind parting with them for a while if they have them. It'll be something to tinker with when the weather's a little too cold to go outside.

[ and, before he forgets- ] If you ever need help in anything, Elle, you let me know? It's the least I can do since you're helping me out big time with this project.

Hey, bare minimum, I like having something to do. [ She chuckles. ] So you're already helping me.

[ But she'll keep that in mind, because, with some exceptions where the Other side of her is concerned, Ellever is a team player. She knows when to ask for help. ]
