Heyyy everybody. I'm the LH Keeper. I know you guys probably got some questions for me but like sit tight first OK? I promise I'll answer eeeeverything you wanna know in just a sec. There's a couple things I wanna say.

The first one being, hi! I'm Robin. It's SO good to finally get to chat with you all, like jeez I've been hella bored over here. That party you guys just put on looked really fun. :( I'm sad I missed it! But that's kinda how it goes when you're the Keeper. Rastus said there's been a lot of talk about like fulfilling our roles and stuff, and this is mine! I'm in the lighthouse because it let's me do a bunch of stuff to manage the town and help keep the world safe, but it means I'm stuck out here all by myself and I don't get to do the fun stuff I want to do sometimes. Which is why I'm so so SO happy that you guys and gals got me hooked up to the network again! Thank you so much!!! ❤❤❤

Oh right, and you guys have had a lot of questions about what I'm protecting the town from, haven't you? Me and Will talked and he's super sure it's best if HE gives you the skinny on all that since he said he would and he wants to make good on his promise, you feel? So he's gonna do that after the ferry gets here so all the new people can get the info too. Sound good? Sorry you gotta wait just a liiiittle bit longer but there's something else I think we should talk about first...

The forest spirits are still reporting the numbers so I don't know exactly how many we're up to yet but... A lot of people went missing and probably died from how things went down after the party. I'll put all the names in the next bulletin (sorry I didn't do one this week btw! things have been kinda crazy...) but if you want to ask about your friends and stuff in the meantime, I'll do my best to tell you what I know. Maybe some of them will come back? We just have to wait and see.

But... you guys probably saw this in that post Rosinante and Riku and Peter did, but just in case you didn't: Captain Winters died, and so did Five. I didn't see what happened exactly but I saw the spirits starting to come for them all and I tried to stop them but they didn't listen. They get really angry about people coming to the lighthouse or me trying to leave, even the ones that are usually really nice.

I hope they'll both come back but I don't know if they will, so, just in case... Winters would want you all to take care of the town for him and move on you know? He won't be around when the ferry comes so make sure you all fill the new people in on what's happened and how to survive here. All that really important stuff he's been telling people is up to you guys to spread around now.

*BIG SIGH* OK WELL I don't want to end on that super negative note but now I'm all sad sooo ask me questions and stuff, and Will will tell everyone about what I'm keeping the town safe from real soon. It really is nice to meet you all!!

Hmmmm... That's really interesting! Maybe you're right - I never really thought about it that hard. Is a portal not something that can exist naturally? Like a wormhole or something?

Yeah, she is. She's the last person left that's, like, FROM here. Before the world went dark.

Sorry. I don't know much more about it. You'll just have to talk to her about it when she comes around.

It's a choice of mine! Although I'm not sure I could take her down if I wanted to, lol. She's sneaky. But I'm not going to! She knows like way too much about this place, and she's been nothing but helpful.

Well, okay. Sometimes she's annoying! Like now! When she won't! Answer! My heckin'! Texts!!!

But that's a dumb thing to kill someone over, and I'm not in the habit of shooting myself in the foot.

Hmmmmm. Not especially! Though I have to be honest, it gets tough to remember who all knows what? I've been here a while and I've given this info to tons of people before you guys.

Will, like, suuuuper hates me. Big time. Just because I'm the Keeper and he's just got issues with authority and blah blah, I guess. :/

Anyway, I don't know what his beef is, but! Just keep that in mind when he gives you all the skinny on what's out there. He knows enough that I trust him to fill you in, but he doesn't know EVERYTHING, even though he thinks he does!! And if he says nasty things about me, maybe take it with a grain of salt.

IMO the worst thing you could do in this place is believe in good guys and bad guys. It's just, like, regular guys, you know?

You think I don’t know good people make good choices and mistakes all the time? That’s what makes them a ‘regular person’. It’s how they react to those mistakes and those choices that makes the difference, but even then that’s not... Regular people can be good and great all the time. They’re not any different TO ‘good guys’.

Same with ‘bad guys’. They’ve made a few bad choices and ended up in a bad spot, but that doesn’t mean they’re beyond help or beyond saving. [ obviously, some of them are more beyond saving than others but hey, look at otto octavius. ]

But it sounds like we’re on the same page here. [ just, like: why bring it up? robin, have you made some bad choices you regret? have you made mistakes? it’s okay, peter knows that feel. ]

I’ll keep what you’ve said about the Doc in mind, Robin. Once he’s filled us in with what he knows, are you going to be shedding some more light on things?

FWIW that good/bad thing is something I think everyone here could benefit from remembering. Not just you! It's easy to forget sometimes.

Or maybe it's easier to buy into me as the Big Bad? Because then at least SOMEONE knows what's up, and there's an evil villain to defeat. Without that, it's just kinda... *makes fart noises*

I don't want to make a habit of lying to you guys, especially since trust levels are already pretty low! So I'll tell you the truth even though I got a feeling there's no good way for me to answer this either.

I'm 17. But I've been 17 for a long time!! I'm TECHNICALLY more like 37. I'm not a kid.

You know there's nothing wrong with being 17, right? I know a lot of amazing kids who ARE kids to even go near that thought.

PHEW I'm so glad you feel that way! I just hope everyone else does. :/ I mean, I doubt they will. Most people don't like having a """kid""" in charge. That's why I didn't come down to see you guys, even though I really wanted to!!

I'd love to be able to tell you that you're wrong, but I can't speak for everyone here. You're right. Some people aren't going to trust you because you look young, some people aren't going to trust you because you've been disconnected from us, and some people aren't going to trust you because you have more power than us, and you've got the ability to end our lives here.

How does a reset work, by the way? I'm guessing there isn't a big red button...

Lookout for what Doc Ingram's going to tell us about, right? How far can you see?

Yeah... There's no winning everyone over, I know that. I just wish they weren't so quick to judge on stuff! Or, like, I hope it doesn't stop them from working with me. Idk!!

LOL, yeah, no big red button. It's a command I can give to the forest spirits, and they do all the work for me.

I can't SEE very far since this place is so dark, but I've got some equipment up here that helps me keep an eye on stuff outside of town. Pretty sure it's some kind of radar, but I don't know much about how it works.

The forest spirits? Sorry if I'm jumping to complete the wrong conclusion here, but on a scale of 1-10 where 1 is 'not at all' and 10 is the opposite of that, how similar is it to what we just went through?

Oh, good question. It's like... Maybe a 3-4? It's tough to say without having been there to experience it myself, but resets are more uhhh, like structured? From what it sounds like, what happened at the party was a lot of chaos and more like the spirits lashing out...

If it were a reset, they would attack like that, but it'd be, like, all of them. And they're efficient about it. Their process is usually to take out all the survivors super quick and then get started with resetting the town itself.

They also follow my orders during a reset. They didn't this time.

Sooo from my end, it wasn't much like a reset at all? But for you guys, it was probably closer, but like... It would've been way worse, and no one would come back after.

But sure, I can definitely see how total slaughter would be worse than partial slaughter, but at that point you're just trying to pick the least rotten fruit left at the bottom of the pile, right?

Woof. Yeah, I guess that's the best way to describe it. Horrible as it sounds.

But yeah, definitely just choosing between two shitty deals there! Like, don't get me wrong, it sounds like what happened with the party was terrible and I'm super sorry it all went down... Just like, if I gotta compare it to a reset. 🤷‍♀️
