Just got back from a trip out to the power station. Guess it's obvious now why the spirits wanted us to go.

First off, we found some of the batteries that go in the buildings downtown. Not sure we've got all of them, some of those places are still pretty boarded up, but we grabbed everything we saw. Twelve total. Couldn't have carried them out without Stone's help, so give him your thanks.

Law and I found the control room of the place, too. We didn't get a lot of opportunity to look around, but we found the journal of someone who was stationed there at the end, as things started going dark. I guess he was one of the last ones alive to oversee the bombs they shot at that World Eater, and he thought it worked. If that's true, then either there was more than one at the time and they didn't know it, or ours showed up later.

But it says he knew they were firing the bombs from a silo up in the mountains somewhere. I'm willing to go hike out there and have a look if a few people want to join, but we'll need supplies. It sounds like it might be pretty far.

Maybe the plutonium comes first, though. And maybe Weaver's little flying robots are enough anyway without risking a trip to the mountains. We saw another green-eye near the power station, and that seven-eyed one is still out there somewhere. I'm open to ideas.

Yeah? Dunno. I tend to be a fan of explosives. They get the job done. I like the other ideas I've heard, trying to starve it or poison it, but I don't think we have a good grasp on how that would work, plus it might take longer and every second probably counts if this thing gets close.

You have something more elegant up your sleeve?

Personally, I question why it is that we fight so valiantly to defeat the creature at all.

I can't speak for everyone, but I'm not one to roll over and give up.

"Giving up"? Is that how you see it?

I see it as allowing this already half-digested world to be put out of its misery.

Half-digested is also half-alive and kicking.

Besides, what happens here can affect more than just this one world. These creatures travel between stars. The one here could go to your home, or another's, when it's finished here. Why let it get that far?

Oh, a World Eater has already consumed my home. It is an unpleasant sort of affair but it happens.

I'm sorry to hear that. I imagine you must be able to see, then, why others might want to prevent that happening to their own homes, or those of others.

And how do you propose you do that? Do you believe you can stop the phenomena of World Eaters at its source?

Not by myself, and not quickly. One at a time. We get rid of this one so it can't do any more harm, then we see about using that portal to get word out that there are more, but that they can be defeated.

Quite the endeavor for a dead man, no?

As Soldat says, I'm hoping I won't be doing this alone.

But if I had to, I would. I don't mind working toward a difficult goal. More satisfying when you achieve it.

[Hope is not generally one for violence. Or is she? She attacked Derringer, watched him fall to his death. She shot the green-eyes at the lab. It seemed like violence was necessary, not just here in this nightmare world, but in whatever "the real world" was as well.

In any case, it doesn't matter how she feels about fighting when it comes to the World Eater. It's the only solution that makes sense. So she is on team Bomb, and she wants to help, even if only a little...so...]

Do we know where we can get the plutonium?

I had an idea of a place to look.

Can't say no to more hands. I think Dr. Ingram was going to try and make some kind of shielding for it or for us, not sure which, but it sounds like the stuff's dangerous. Maybe shoot him a message, let him know you'll be along in case he needs to make another set of armor.
