hey
so me and wash and gene were gonna go on an adventure in the woods
see what we can find, you know?
but we're looking for a couple of people to bring with us
maybe two or three
gene's a medic, wash is a marine, and i'm a wizard with experience dealing with monsters and nasty magic
anyone that thinks they could round that out would be great
but no serial killers or anyone that would like
murder us in our sleep
and sorry, but no kids yet
i know some of you are gonna argue that, but we have no idea what we're dealing with and we don't want that on our consciences
anyway, let us know

i don't think another person chiming in would help. there's too much crosstalk already. and i don't think calling them "the breakfast club" will help, either.

yeah, i know you're right, but it kind of makes me feel better

that kind of relief is usually temporary.

gene and i both just had long conversations with you laying out our reasons and why this won't be a permanent thing
your buddy vanitas is hoping we go in those woods and die to teach us a "lesson"
i engaged him once and didn't respond to him again
i think you're a good kid and you want to help, but if your friend is always like that
maybe you should be talking to him and not the person who just got dogpiled by ten people and is making a stupid joke to let off a little steam

the one who's currently bullying a ten year old and talking about how dying horribly would serve us right

that's because you can't talk to vanitas when he's like that. isn't that kinda obvious? he gets really riled up so it's like those times when you're a kid and your mom tells you you both have to walk away for a little while

i told you what kinda stuff makes it worse i'm trying to help

you can't really outfight vanitas. he's just. made that way. he's made from magic that feeds off of bad feelings.

more reason for him not to be involved with any of this shit ever
he'll never have any of our best interests in mind if that's the kind of spell that made him
i've dealt with things like that before and it never ends well

i don't know about never, cause i've seen people change in lots of ways

but i think he'd probably leave you if you got into trouble so i can see why you wouldn't wanna bring him. also he can just be really hard to get along with. i think he doesn't know what to do if nobody's fighting with him. that's what he was made for.

the only way to get some space is to leave him alone while he cools off. you can't really reason with him.

"like that" is a hell of a spin on "defaults to death threats when he doesn't get his way"

which seems more of a personal problem than anything anyone else is saying on here

you and sora have had good faith conversations with us and i appreciate that
but i can't say the same for your other friends
especially that vanitas dude
who, by the way, is making you all look bad and who your buddies are just making dumb puns about instead of trying to keep in line
so yeah, i made a joke about a cheesy 80s movie to blow off some steam

first, a question. don't take this the wrong way, it's not a jab. just something to think about.
what makes you think we're all friends?

plus the fact that sora and that other kid are joking about vanitas and talking about you, too
makes you seem like a group

hey, having a difference of opinion is pretty normal.
Kairi's my best friend, along with Sora.
they're nothing if not sincere, but they're not doormats either.
we spoke with you on good faith and it's not a lot to ask for that respect to be returned.

just saying,

so that means that all the rest of you adults here are friends too right
and that you're all part of the same group
even that @ dysmas guy who's been picking a fight with vanitas despite you know
just ignoring him from the start?

i'm not arguing with you here
i can't speak for vanitas but the rest of us here aren't trying to pick a fight with any of you
you said we all jumped in at once so you assumed we're a group
by that logic, that'd apply for the rest of you, wouldn't it
?

Throwing around sad attempts at insults isn't helping anything. What would help would be treating us like people.
