[text] @riku; lost & found and other stuff [open]
Hey. Hope you're all staying safe. It's icy out there.
The Postmaster gave me a package. Couldn't tell you who sent it but I think there's been a mistake. This was inside.
[ There's a picture attached of a yarn snowman wearing a knit black cap and black and white knitted scarf with green buttons for eyes. It's pretty cute... ]
Does this belong to anyone?
One more thing.
The movie theater downtown has a stage and multiple film projectors. Big library of films too. The spirits working the concession counter seem okay too.
Only problem is it needs power. Take a look at this.
[ The attached picture shows five slots that look like they could fit a big square car battery or something like it. ]
Not exactly urgent. Still, a movie sometimes might not be too bad.

BROOSE 😍
( he's fine, thanks for asking. )
why u got a car that needs repairing?
oh my ghodasjk
[You did say 'almost' so he'll round that up to Fine.]
The working battery is in a car that turns on, but doesn't do much else. If there are other power sources to be found around Beacon, it'd be useful to have a way to transport them.
That kind of repair isn't my area of expertise. And we'll likely need to ask Rastus for supplies.
he's adopting u now i don't make the rules
but who's to say if i fix it i won't just drive off in it?
( he's mostly joking. but he's also maybe considering the possibility. )
????!!!!¿¿¿¿¿¿
But then I would come and find you.
:)
well alright then
that's pretty big talk for someone whose parents willingly named him bruce
unless it was after springsteen
( because then, you know, respect. )
no subject
Then you think Springsteen also has a terrible name?
no subject
until you add springsteen to it
or lee
or wayne
it's all about the package deal man
( okay, he's kind of ruining his insult here but. whatever. )
no subject
Will you be able to find the car on your own or do you need a guide?
no subject
( h e h )
u wanna hold my hand too
what's the model i'm a big boy
gagtag

You should avoid going alone regardless. A spirit tracked us when we first found the scrapyard. They've been known to dismember residents.
[Insert model here, because that did not come in the writeup]
The dog responds well to bribes.

believe me i can handle myself against spirits
hunted worse on my own
( but he might drag sam along with him next time. )

If you haven't gotten an ocarina already, you should stop to collect one. The spirits communicate through sound.
Unless they have green eyes.

love a cryptic pause as much as the next guy but please i'm dying to know
do green eyed ones just dismember people without stopping to chat first
no subject
In my defense you didn't sound particularly concerned about the dismemberment. But yes. That's what they do, but not all of what they do.
To my understanding no one's been able to reason with them yet.
Death isn't always permanent in this place. But if your lantern is damaged or your light goes out, you don't come back.

i'm sure they're real fun to have at parties
( sarcasm aside: )
i'll see what i can do about the car
gonna need a few tools though
and maybe a decent beer
no subject
But now that you mention it, I don't know if I've ever paid much attention to whether or not beer is available in the Invincible. There's certainly plenty of hard liquor.

big bird
what's his deal exactly
( dean Does Not Trust )
i've certainly drunk most of the hard liquor
but i'd rather not get smashed while trying to fix a carburetor

( i mean... surely, right? )

but he's cooler than that. obviously there's a portal. )
what else would i be asking about
no subject
I haven't asked Rastus specifically. There's a night market that comes every other month, a woman named Pluto and her crew are able to retrieve specific items that you can barter for, they're retrieved from a portal. The same portal, I suspect, that was opened several decades ago in Beacon that announced its presence to the World Eaters.

right
( there's a lot to unpack there so he's just gonna focus on: )
so big bird plays courier out of what
the goodness of his feathered heart
( he doesn't buy it. )

Keeping us happy helps offset the chaos and infighting that would trigger a reset. Meeting our needs keeps us safe in the event of an attack. Gathering supplies helps us explore the town.
He's just as vulnerable to the World Eaters as the rest of us.
