Hello there, everyone, this is Aziraphale. With the advent of the Songbird on our devices, I was hoping to ask you all a favor. Or, well, it's more like a proposal, really. If people with musical talents could volunteer their time, we could record some songs with our devices and publish them for public listening on the why-fye.

I was also wondering if anyone here was familiar with the work of someone called Freddie Mercury, or perhaps one of the Velvet Undergrounds? They are performers from Earth, somewhere in the latter half of the 20th century or early 21st century. I would like to make a personal request that we could make some of their music available post-haste!

I admit that I have very little to offer in this project, myself. However, if anyone is interested in book passage recitations, I would be delighted to take requests, provided I'm familiar with the material!

[ Additional note: Aziraphale has intended to filter this message to everyone except for Crowley to be able to see it, but he has messed up and just made it open. ]

Record? Ah. Hm.

Okay, so it sounds like I do what I'm doing right now and then something happens?

Should I try singing?

[More rustling then he starts to sing. His low voice is pleasant but not one that would ever earn him a living.]

There was a gallant youth who crossed the ocean,
To free Hylia from her invasion,
He landed in the desert with all his party,
The Valley to attack, being brave and hearty.

The Gerudo drew up their men, for death prepared.
In one another's face the armies stared,
While the Hero and the Demon Thief together walked,
Between their armies they like brothers talked.

Each man then took his meal at their retire.
So then these numerous hosts began to fire,
The cannon on each side did roar like thunder,
And youths in all their pride were torn asunder.

The drums loudly beat, colors were flying,
The crimson gore streamed and men lay dying,
When shot off from his horse fell this brave Hero,
And we lament his loss in tears of sorrow.

The Gerudo began to break, their ranks were flying,
The Hero seemed to revive while he lay dying,
He lifted up his head as his drums did rattle,
And to his army said, "How goes the battle?"

The Sages replied, "Tis in our favor,
The Desert, with all her pride, nothing can save her,
She falls into our hands with all her treasure,"
"Oh then," the Hero replied, "I die with pleasure."

Thanks.

Some of it is even a true story... Probably not the bit about the ocean, though.

Uhm...

[There's a sound like him tapping the tablet.]

Did it work then? Did I add the song?

Oh, okay! Good, I'm glad to help.

[Though he most likely recorded him and Aziraphale talking a bit after the song, he's sorry.]
