hi everybody! hope you all had an okay new years? can't say i missed the ball drop thing in new york. but i don't think i'm a huge fan of the onion thing the spirits like?

this is elle brandt, if we haven't spoken before. i have kind of a favor to ask of some of you? i'm looking for any musical instruments that we have here in beacon. either instruments you have, if you don't mind me borrowing them for just a little while, or instruments you've seen laying around somewhere (if possible). i found a kazoo in the general store but that's about it.

i won't be borrowing them for very long, hopefully. if they're really important to you, don't feel obligated. we don't have too many good distractions around here. especially if it's from your home.

[ Ellever will know. She has lived with Castiel for a while. She will know the look of confused exasperation he directs at the tablet. ]

No celestial piccolo. Nor any other instrument. Angels don't make art.

that's a shame. i'm not exactly an artist, myself, but i think art is vital to the whole living experience.

[ Ellever was about to type up 'human experience', but... even her cousins like art. And she's easily the most human out of all of them. ]

not to get deep or anything. jeez. i wonder why humans always depicted you guys with harps. imposters? really big imaginations?

Humans get a lot of things wrong about most things they can't fully grasp. It's a comfort perhaps, to pretend we are not warriors. Human senses are too dull to perceive us without suffering for it. I imagine giving us harps and putting us on trees in nightgowns is a comfort to those easily frightened.

oh yeah, those Precious Moments angel kids are a lot more creepy, in retrospect.

are angels really like fiery wheels with multiple eyes and stuff?

By existing. She used a spell to look at me, and I warned her not to persist. She persisted. I dismissed it as her own fault back when it happened. I didn't understand, then, how seldom humans choose to obey when you tell them not to do something.

reverse psychology. humans really like to do whatever's not great for them.

[ They're a plucky breed. Maybe that's where she gets her determination. ]

or maybe she just really liked fiery wheels. who knows.

if i was a really stubborn person, yeah, that might work. then i might feel spiteful and stop doing it. people are weird.

I don't think I will ever quite grasp human intricacies. They're baffling.

that's okay, a lot of humans can't grasp them either. i'm over forty years old and people are still weird to me.
