Hey, this is Riku.

Between the ferry sinking, the loss of some supplies and a bunch of newcomers to get up to speed, I know we've all got a lot going on.

It could have been a lot worse. It wasn't because a lot of you stepped up to help. That's exactly what's going to see us through.

[ He pauses to rub his hands together, the resultant rasp could be anything. ]

Not to rain on our parade, but the crash got me thinking. Specifically, about dealing with injuries.

If anybody can teach basic first aid, I think everyone would benefit from learning.

[ There's a soft crackle, wind skimming across the tablet's microphone, a bit of a shiver in his voice: ]

For the ones using magic or other abilities to heal others, knowing what limits being here has imposed on those abilities is hard enough without finding out in the middle of an emergency.

I have an idea how we could test these limits in a pretty controlled environment. Contact me if you're interested.

[ He already feels like he's been talking too much, but there's a little more to say: ]

If no one's heard about it yet, we located an armory to the east over the river. There, you'll find weapons, knives and swords, stuff like that. In the basement is an area for training and target practice.

Aziraphale did most of the work, but there's a bridge over the river now. I left a torch at the armory. Should make it easier to find.

If anyone can figure out how they made that building practically invisible, might be worth putting it around a more central location in case of an attack.

[ He's been to other worlds, he understands that there are those with absolutely no idea about magic, or monsters, or even the existence of other worlds. He's breaking a lot of rules about keeping the World Order just talking about this, but they're all dead. Those rules don't apply. ]

[He is!! Deal with it! Though mostly he's just being petty and bitter about the fact that apparently he's surrounded by Headless Riders. He doesn't deal well with Headless Riders, mostly because he's helpless against them. But also because they get real close to his best friends real fast. Like magic. Ha.]

Well, I wasn't! Not about that part anyway.

[That pout is audible.]

I do have one question more though, so don't hang up yet.

A bunch of people were swan diving after the ship cargo, and now you're talking about supplies. Are these, like, the only supplies we get? Did we just sink our metaphorical airdrop? On a scale of 1 to infinity, how freaked out should I be about that?

[ Oof... that's the problem with the truth, sometimes it's not what people want or need to hear, for the reason Masaomi touches upon. Because people tend to freak out. It's why Will held back so long on telling them all about the World Eaters. ]

The ferry brought in our monthly supplies as well as each group of newcomers.

The situation's bad, but I wouldn't call it hopeless.

[Not getting new people when they don't have the supplies for it? Not the worst thing. Not having those supplies is going to be a problem period though.]

So you're telling me this is going to suck, but we're not all going to starve to death. Right? That's what I'm hearing?

It might not even suck that bad. We're pretty resourceful.

[ No, it's probably going to suck pretty bad, but Riku is trying to be reassuring. ]

I'm pretty resourceful too. But I've never had to feed an undead army.

I'd be more worried if you did. If you see a problem, then there's an opportunity to find a way around it.

You sound like a guy with an imagination. We could really use that in a crisis.
