[text] @helsing; I've always liked to play with fire [open]
I'm looking to speak to anyone who;
1. Has communicated with the Church hermit
2. Has come across any railroad tracks in Beacon
3. Has seen any antibiotics lying around
[ She would have left it there but figures maybe she should probably let people know this next bit; ]
I also spotted a giant spirit in the woods around the museum. Try not to get killed by it.

1. I don't suffer from the same suicidal curiosity as other people around here.
2. Because I'm looking for the mines.

Solve that first, then find a way out.
[ Context, Scarlett. ]
Where are mines usually found?
no subject
What exactly are you looking for? An anti-World Eater mineral? An anti-World Eater magnetic field equivalent?
no subject
I'm referring to a location. Underground. Or in mountainsides. Places that things like light can't be seen from the surface.
I was looking for a way to hide us from the World Eaters until I can figure out how to kill the damn things.
no subject
You'd have to seal the mine door shut very tightly so not even a slip of light could be seen from the other side. And there'd need to be a world to come back to.
Valiant idea. Although — do you intend to take them on yourself?
no subject
We secure the lanterns in the mines and there's no reason for the World Eaters to come until we're ready for them.
[ It still had flaws admittedly but Scarlett was all about seeing if this one had merit before jumping to the finer points. ]
Why? You volunteering to help?
no subject
[ besides… kol expects he'll be out of here before they arrive. ]
You also don't know if these World Eaters can sense lantern light through layers and layers of dirt. Can they sense a world has lantern light, even if it's not visible? As simple as the plan is, there's so many unknown variables we have yet to even discover.
[ public >> private ]
We just need the lighthouse keeper to believe that hiding the lanterns is good enough.

Looking for mines isn't a horrible idea. There's probably something down there that we could use. Isn't the Lighthouse Keeper all about seeing us actually try to work together? I'd like to doubt she'd be the type to reset us just because we're going the wrong way. Progress is progress, isn't it?
[ and yet, he's been on the tail end of progress ending with him neutralised. hopefully robin the lighthouse keeper isn't as temperamental, unkind, and narcissistic as niklaus. ]
Re: [ private ]
[ She has such faith in people :)
Of course, her uneasiness where the Keeper is concerned comes down to the fact that Will hates her. Will is a dick who doesn't really like anyone as far as she can tell, but hate? Scarlett hasn't pushed for the reason - because she doubts he'll tell her just yet - but whatever it is? She at least believes it's a good one. ]
Maybe it's not good enough but it's a starting point. It might buy the time we need for somebody a whole lot smarter than me to figure out a way out of here. Or people like us to find a way to kill those things.
I'll be damned if I get taken out by the Wizard pushing buttons behind the curtains.

[ although, she's not cowardly. he'd much prefer to be the wicked witch. he could pull off the vibrant green.
kol is so used to being the monster people run to the attic to get away from; it ensures the narrative stays within his control (and he has a lot of fun). all of this is completely out of his usual realm of operation—he's always known something. ]
You might be surprised as to how far some people will push their luck. I only know of the Keeper through hearsay — she could always have her own agenda or her own secret pair of ruby slippers to get her the hell out of dodge.
I'd put money on us finding a way out of here and finding a way to kill the World Eaters. Perhaps there is something in the mines that can help or there isn't.

[ I mean... in the sense that she'd kill somebody within 2 minutes of showing up, sure. ]
She's a bit of an unknown and honestly? Kind of a whiny brat.
[ Which is another thing Scarlett doesn't trust about her. Robin strikes her as the type to throw a hissy fit because she can't handle criticism and flip the reset switch. ]
Death permanency is a good motivator so I'd believe it.

[ he legit was surprised to find there was a chance to live again after being staked and being hexed. ]
So the Lighthouse Keeper is prone to emotional outbursts, I gather? Frequent ones? I wonder if she's related to me.
[ ha ha ha ha ha :c ]

[ I mean... #vampiretvshows. ]
Depends? Do you pitch a fit any time somebody has the nerve to call you on your shit and find a way to blame everyone else?
[ private ]
Yep, I do.
In my defence, sometimes it actually isn't my fault.

[ a mikaelson with self-awareness is one everyone should shit their pants in the presence of. ]

[ Scarlett herself is a mixed bag of self-awareness and denial. It sure keeps things interesting. ]

Like a temperamental Lighthouse Keeper, I guess.
