so me and wash and gene were gonna go on an adventure in the woods
see what we can find, you know?
but we're looking for a couple of people to bring with us
maybe two or three
gene's a medic, wash is a marine, and i'm a wizard with experience dealing with monsters and nasty magic
anyone that thinks they could round that out would be great
but no serial killers or anyone that would like
murder us in our sleep
and sorry, but no kids yet
i know some of you are gonna argue that, but we have no idea what we're dealing with and we don't want that on our consciences

but you guys aren't responsible for keeping us safe. that's something we all have to do for ourselves. and we can't just stay here in this town forever while everybody else goes out and gets hurt for us.

i'm not expecting to change your mind. but people get hurt, even kids. it's gonna happen whether you guys are with us or not.

there's like 50 of us here
except the aforementioned serial killers, they're on their own

the first thing you hit is the river, but the current is strong. really really strong. one of us got pulled under and would've got lost if he wasn't tethered.

also there's these things in the river too, that look sort of like people. they tried to pull him in and eat him.

after the river it starts to turn into sand dunes, and then cliffs, but i don't know if you guys'll walk that far.

the forest spirits don't talk, but they're really tall and you can't really fight them. they won't try to eat you, they just kill you with their hands.

if you walk near the shore you should be able to keep an eye out for the lighthouse. it uses morse code to tell you if you're going too far, so try to make sure you can see it.
