( It's been nearly a day since the bridges have been built, connecting the northern half of Beacon to that of the eastern half. Javert has already conducted a full patrol of the village, inspecting the buildings and taking meticulous notes of the damage. He doesn't have time to delve into the details, tired as he is, and drained, though he does feel it pertinent to mention, )

It seems we will have to find new location to practice combat training and first aid. The gymnasium does not look as if it's worth the effort to salvage, with the ceiling caved in and the building filled with water.

Any suggestions you have would be helpful. I'd be inclined to offer the armory, seeing as it is already stocked with weapons and supplies, but it is too far inconvenient to access without a nearby bridge. Perhaps that can be remedied.

If there are any other skills you believe we should teach one another, I ask that you speak up. I'm sure there are many of you who'd prefer to be taught by someone of our group rather than that of a stranger. With Dr. Solis gone, it seems more imperative now than ever that we keep each other alive.

I can start bringing wood and metal scraps to the riverside each time I pass on my patrol. When do you wish to start building?

In two days. Would that be enough time to collect what is needed?

Yes. The spirits are helping. And there are a lot of felled trees and damaged cabins nearby.

[And Soldat has super-strength. They can do this. It'll fill the empty hours between patrols and meals and attempting to sleep better than moping in the church will.]

Take what you need from the cabins. I don't think it likely many will return there.

( And with their dwindling numbers, it's not as if they'll need the space. )

[They'll probably only take from the ones with actual structural damage. Just in case. But he does have a point.]

Probably not. Separating us again over a river with a bridge that might wash out does not seem like a good idea.

I know, sir. There were just too many of us to fit in the Invincible, for a long time.

[It might not have been tactically sound, but it was still necessary.]

There are much fewer of us now. And we have the Landmark, too.

Which is where they should stay, if not in the Invincible. There has never been enough room all for us in the inn. When I first arrived, many were forced to live outside in tents like vagabonds.

[Sarge in particular makes a groan in the back of their mind. Camping. Tents. Yuck.]

Perhaps that is why they weren't here overly long. I cannot say I cared for it either.
