[This post doesn't contain much text, despite being a text message. It does, however, contain many pictures.

One of them is a selfie of Prompto. It's fairly well-lit, as there's a torch and a metal wall to one side of him, but it's notable because it's sepia-toned and looks years old.

There are two more, each of a lantern on a hook. They're the same picture, but the first one seems unnaturally saturated and the second is in varying shades of grey and black.

The fourth is the Bonfire, but for whatever reason everything is a noticeable shade of pink. Huh.

There is text, however, after these pictures:

CHECK IT OUT, PHOTO FILTERS!!

[ peter has questions. mostly, it's 'why' punctuated by 'is he old?' and 'is this what feeling old is like?' because — he kind of got instagram. like, it serves a point (to a point), but—

why does beacon need an app that can apply photo filters. there's barely any light to take photos in the first place. ]

Obviously.

There was a period of time when Earth collectively decided that the only photos worth sharing were low contrast, high exposure. Instagram was the facilitator of that, basically.

It depends on what you're after, right? Whether you're looking at curating a portfolio and experimenting, or if you're just looking for likes. Luckily for me, phones and tablets with cameras built-in weren't commonplace when I was growing up, so all of my terrible photos just got shoved in a box at the back of my wardrobe instead of getting uploaded to the internet for permanent posterity.

[ along with meaning he could actually have a job in the first place. ]

The only like I ever had to worry about was the one coming from my skinflint boss.

Didn't think they were worth showing to anyone or they weren't worth showing to anyone? There's a difference. Because boy, I can tell you right now that my box of conveniently labelled 'bad news photos' was kept solely for a rainy, rainy day and was full of weird exposures and blurry, out of focus shots.

Photojournalist, but yeah. Mostly for a newspaper back home - The Daily Bugle. I'm pretty sure that's where I developed my inability to feel as if I've done a good job if I haven't been berated for twenty minutes first.

How do you make these? Is it something everyone can do?
