[text] @riku; lantern security [open]
Hey. I know we owe our escape to everyone here and the distraction those Hunt guys pulled off, but they're still called the Fire Snatchers for a reason. I'm thankful. Still don't trust them around my lantern and neither should any of us.
If you don't already have something sturdy to secure your lantern to you, I've made a bunch of clips that can do the trick. These are strong enough to carry my weight. It might do for climbing in a pinch too.
The ferry's expected to come soon. When it does I'll be at the docks handing these out. If I run out then I'll make some more.
I've got a workshop going, if you need something made or repaired, message me. I'll tell you if I can do it. Could use some help getting material from the scrapyard, that's all.
One more thing. I made a headlight for those electric bikes, mostly it's a bracket for a lantern with a focusing lens, it's worked ok. Materials are a real pain, if you want one I'll need your help with that.

It's easy to forget not everybody knows their way around knots. Thanks. That's helpful.

As a mechanoid being, would it be possible for you to fashion some sort of holster on my body that can hold my lantern safely?

For a surface modification, it should not cause me much distress. Cybertronians reconfigure our forms at least a few times in our lives, but they do have access to surgeons and medics who know how to ensure we are unharmed after intensive work.
That is why I will not risk having the lantern built into my chassis for maximum protection, but I will allow alterations to my plating.

I've been working on a version that works with the flame of a torch. These don't throw a ton of light like the real thing. Better than nothing.

[ the question, too, is how have the wild hunt survived? solis is one person, the night market something else entirely, but when one person becomes a dozen becomes a double more, it does raise questions about what they've been told. ]
That aside, sounds like you've been busy. How many clips do you have?
βtext, @parker
Winter weather doesn't agree with me so I had a lot of free time.
30 or so, probably not enough for everybody. I'm gonna need more metal.

@shouto
What do you want in exchange?

Right now it's enough to get up to speed on the situation. If you want to do something anyway, I could always use more metal from the scrapyard.
Just make sure to bring a ball or large stick for the "dog" to play with when you do.

i'll take one if you have enough. do you want anything in return?

Could always use more scrap metal. Or if you find any tools while exploring, wouldn't hurt to have more spares at the general store or something.
