Before you all go running off around town now that things are quieter:
The Tunnel of Love at the amusement park is the crocodile spirits' new territory. They were moved there as a compromise so you can all access the shopping center safely. Ride at your own risk.
Shopping center's still flooded. Burst pipe at the aquarium in some kind of camping supplies shop. Might want to bring some plumbing tools to fix it and drain the water, we didn't have anything on hand. Should be safe now though, just wet.

@Grandmaster
By force?

@fjord
But, if anyone wants to go fixing it, I can help keep the water at bay for maybe ten minutes. And keep us from drowning if we fuck it up badly enough to make it worse.

I don't suppose anyone has tried simply asking the spirits to not try and kill us anymore? If only so simple.
But I digress. How bad is the flooding? Camping supplies might be useful.

Think you could freeze a bunch of it? Maybe we could haul out the blocks of ice.
@ephrim
What are these pipes made of?

I need enough metal to repair the damage. Are the materials in the junkyard available for us to use?

I've settled long enough. What manner of creature is it? How do you placate it?
no subject
[That's rhetorical, mostly.]
no subject
The shopping center is downtown, correct? Are there any obstacles, or am I free to walk in and do the repairs?
[ If the place is flooded, he has no illusions about the pipes being at all accessible. ]

[ He's free for the foreseeable future, after all. Might as well let the stranger handle the time. ]

You have water-magic, can you breathe under water? Swim down and find a drain?

Myself and water do not mix well.

you had to give up the one romantic spot in town?

[Well, if no-one knew how he died in there before, they sure do now.]

Anything of interest at the rest of the shopping center? I have not been down there since we were at the hotel.

I should probably investigate beyond my patrol routes, I've become too mired in routine I think.

You're doing more than most to learn this place.

The lake is different. Maybe.
no subject
[Happy now, asshole? He didn't just dive in there for kicks.]
So I assume that if you want to do something with the lake, you're gonna be there to back me up when you send me in there.

Yes don't push yourself before you are ready. I say that from experience. Though I have a feeling you already know that and will not heed the advice regardless.

I certainly do not.

When I'm up to going out, I'll let you know.

Yes?
