I had just mentioned to someone how after being here for so long the forest still didn't truly feel like a forest without the sound of birds.

It seems the forest spirits heard me.

I know they aren't truly the birds from home, but there is something nice about having that little bit of normalcy back.

So far they aren't dangerous or aggressive. I hope it remains that way.

there's still time for that, but as long as you don't observe the buddy system, at least it'll just be between you and the birds.

more like generations, i'm pretty sure that's how evolution works. and we're all dead, so nix that plan anyway.

I prefer to patrol alone, so that secret would be safe should it happen. I've been here nearly a year I believe, so it's only a matter of time.

It may spontaneously happen one day. Like when people were turning into animals, or having fits of strange emotions. One day everyone has giant eyes and can see clearer in the moonlight.
