( it's been a few days since the aurora event, but, Matt needed a bit of recuperating time. he spent a lot of time with a treeby in the cold, ok... anyway, he found something, or rather, was given something... and he figures he might not be the only one.

so here he is. )

During the aurora, someone gave me something. I don't know who it was, but it was a memory. And I think it was from Beacon before things went dark. Strangely, it's just audio, I've shared it with someone else and they can't see anything, either, but... you can hear a conversation just fine.

( Matt's bestie Cao Pi has warned him against being too direct on the network, so, he won't be, but... )

Did anyone else find something similar? We might be able to put the pieces together if we share what we know.

Yeah, you can say that again, and I know that no one was actually aiming, but man. I was hit three times. And My head isn't that big. I mean, it's not small, it's just a-- you know what, it doesn't even matter. I just got hit a lot and it's fine. [the sound of Quentin clearing his throat close to the microphone] Have you thought about a time and date to meet, if you wanted everyone together to see the memory?

( Matt, for his part, likes voice better anyway. voice to test is clunky.

there's a hint of a smile in his voice when he answers. he isn't gonna laugh at you or your terrible luck, Quentin, but, safe to say it doesn't sound like it's totally fine. )

You're either very lucky or very unlucky, depending on how you look at it. ( as for a meeting place... ) If there are other memories to share, we could all meet at town hall. Or bring them to the next meeting.

[Getting pelted with memory-rocks is the least of Quentin's perpetual bad luck. And that's not even figuring in the time he had to hold the Bad Luck Bear to make sure Kady and Penny got the bank card.]

Is there going to be one? Not that I don't think we shouldn't, it's just that-- do these meetings actually work or are we all just sitting there, waiting for our turn to talk? [It's more like Quentin is just thinking out loud, before he sighs] I don't have memories that aren't my own. But I'd still like to see the one you have.

I guess it depends on perspective. I like to listen, see what other things are happening out there. There's only so much one person can find, but when we pool our resources we can do more.

( there's definitely louder voices and maybe the meetings never go as deep as he might like, but... he still thinks they're important. )
