Apologies everyone. I should have presented this information to the network sooner, but the expedition into the western part of Beacon didn't exactly go according to plan and with recent other distractions...well, you know, you've seen outside.

We did locate a weather station (I say we, it was mostly Rosinante, Castiel, and Stone). There should be a torch there for your use. If anyone knows anything about using equipment like that, it could probably be useful. I plan on making a trip out there myself in the near future.

Unfortunately, we did not make out so well on the other leg of our journey. You may have noticed some of the names on the recent bulletin from Robin. We also failed to locate the medical center, despite confirmation of its existence, we had no way of knowing what lurked in the forest between our group and our goal. When I originally conceived of composing this for the network, I thought it would be as a warning to anyone against making the attempt.

Thankfully, it would seem that the spirit that thwarted our efforts to reach this possible location has decided she'd like to visit the aurora, as opposed to continue to haunt the forest. Trust me when I say that is for the best. I, personally, will probably not be making a second attempt out there, at least not any time soon, but if someone else wants to make the effort then by all means I will share what we learned going as far as we did.

Not that we learned much beyond the twisted way this particular spirit operated. Speaking of which, if anyone has more information about the lanterns or their connection to our bodies, I'd appreciate it. I had some thoughts, but need further confirmation before I can come up with anything solid. Rosinante also asked me about the candle light in the church -- did anyone happen to visit the church while the lights were changing colors?

I suppose that's it for now.

Nobody else has to put themselves in danger. I can handle this.

[No he can't.]

[A long, silent pause as he considers this. He'd very nearly been the one to go after Masaomi. In the end it had been Sora, but only after Link had chased him down and demanded to be the one who went, leading to an awkward argument.

He can't really disagree with Maes on this one.

The only way he'd ever be able to go alone and not be chased would be to go in total secrecy, a bit of a challenge in a place where news travels so fast.]

...Fine. I'll go with someone else.

[He doesn't have a plan yet, anyway.]

If you don't mind, how did they kill you?

Even if they're gone now, another spirit might be like them.

[It takes her a long moment to respond to that. Ripping someone's face off...Jesus.]

Masks? It made a mask out of the faces?

Christ.

Was it actually wearing them?
