If anyone is able to help, we have somebody at cabin grand portal 5 who has lost a lot of blood.
His injuries are closed. I can't do anything about what he's lost.
Is that artificial blood stuff ready to use for something like this?


He was injured because someone experienced hallucinations that started when his lantern started to glow green.
The lighthouse is showing the same light. It's possible Robin might also be experiencing the same thing.


[ Those who know what the Lighthouse Keeper can do if the situation appears to be dire enough might realize the implications. The last thing they need is a powerful hallucination of, say, the arrival of the World Eaters, or the impression there's total chaos going on down here. Just a thought. ]

[ He sounds harried and tense. This is way outside of his realm of expertise, and Riku doesn't like feeling at a loss for what to do. To say he's probably beating himself up over his inability to do anything about this is an understatement, but true. ]

I don't know. How do you check?

[ It's after a half an hour that Shigeru finally makes it to Riku's location. He'll give a few knocks on the cabin door, waiting for the other to answer for him to go inside. ]

[ It's habit that has Riku attempting to grasp the door knob with the wrong hand, and after the bone-chilling scrape of claws gouging out fresh marks in the door, Riku buries that monstrous arm in the blanket over his shoulders and reaches to open it with the opposing - and much more human - hand.

He isn't expecting anyone else at the moment, so it means this stranger can be here for only one reason. ]

...Thanks for coming. He's on the couch.

[ Indeed - Skyler, Sora, Langit, he goes by a few names around here, but he's lying on the couch in Shigeru's immediate view, as the cabin is small. His sweatshirt has a significant bloodstain and a tear, but his injury is more or less closed. Link, too, is present. Perhaps, like Riku, he intends on standing by while a professional gets to work. ]

Find out who it is. I'll see if I can tell you their blood type, and who might be a match.

Set up an IV and needle. My artificial blood won't work for transfers, but we can find someone to donate easily enough. Slip the needle into the crease of donor's arm; there's plenty of veins there for you to use. Up into a bag, and then down the IV into your victim's arm.

[ Which name should he give her? Technically he goes by... a few of them. Skyler? What if he never introduced himself to her that way? Sora? But the Sora who was here previously didn't get his blood type analyzed, so is there a point to distinguishing between them?

Riku realizes he's just getting hung up on meaningless details because he's worked up. They're strangers who can't help but compare each other to the versions they knew, he should be able to maintain a kind of rational distance. And yet his head and heart are a mess. ]

You've seen them in my lab. A long, transparent, thin tube. It transfers fluids.

And I don't know either of them.

You've three options.

1) If he's near dying, it may be safer to simply let him die. It's risky, but there's a decent chance he'll return.

2) You can find out his blood type, either by doing it yourself-- I'll instruct you, though you'll need a microscope-- or bringing him here.

2a) And then do the transfer that way, by figuring out who may match.

3) I'll tell you which foods will help replenish blood. Depending on how much he's lost, he may just need bedrest.

Don't know a lot about replacing blood, just stopping the bleeding and it sounds like you did that already.

Hallucinations...yeah, I think that tracks. Doesn't bode well with the Lighthouse.

Anyone tried to contact her yet? Or a better question might be if anyone's heard a reply.

[No shit, he almost types, but doesn't. Instead he decides to lay out the facts as it were. Perhaps not reassuring per say, but it's such that he wants to make sure no one is panicking here. He's worried, but then again he's always worried here.]


Aside from this I haven't seen too much evidence of violence out there. That was the factor with most of the past resets, right? And so far the spirits have been acting as normal. The only unknown factor is Robin. We don't know if that green light is going to effect her the same way and, if it does, what those effects will be.

My lantern's the same green color, but what I saw didn't make me lash out at anyone.

[Except his mirror...and kind of go on a spiral of self-hatred. But that's on him and he's not about to confess that to someone at the moment. The point is that green doesn't necessarily mean violence. It could mean Robin is seeing other things up there -- troubling, but maybe she has enough wits about her to not act irrationally.]
