sorry if i'm invading someone else's territory
i'll leave as soon as i can get somewhere permanent to stay

there weren't a lot of libraries open 24/7 where i was from either
the college library was always open though
i used to sleep there when i didn't want to go back home
i know the drill

the librarian likes to keep the place in order. make sure nobody messes with the books and put them back if you use them, is my advice.

fair enough on freezing but i'm not sure how warm the library is going to be, it wasn't made for residency. any particular reason the floor of the library is more enticing than the floor of the invincible?

i'm not gonna touch them, promise! i got a lot of reading homework on the tablet anyway. [ He's fresh off the boat, after all! Nothing like reading up on this world they're trying to save to put him right to sleep.

As for her other points... Huh. Far be it for him to say that it seems like she's worried. Maybe she doesn't want a corpse in the library? That'd definitely stink up the place.

But, uh. Well, he does have a real answer for that, but he's pretty sure that this network stranger wasn't asking for his life story. ]

( she's worried, but not really about him. more proactively and incredibly zealously protective of the Librarian. she knows she'd find some punk dragging a cot into her space pretty annoying. the Librarian can't actually tell him off because they're more or less nonverbal.

being too softspoken is not something anyone has ever accused Carm of, however, so she's happy to complain for the Librarian by proxy. )

i'm not sure that social anxiety is a good excuse for crashing in a public space, but sure.
that said, if the librarian tells you to hit the bricks, i'd do it. i wouldn't want to be on their bad side.

it's just kind of weird especially if you end up by yourself and you're not a big book fan
it's usually pretty quiet tho
good for six hours or however long i needed

hey, that makes sense to me. i know some people just wanna help but i also know how you feel.

so, do your thing. just be safe about it while you're in the library since it's kind of a public space. and if it doesn't work out, then take someone up on their offer.

[ Kidding aside, he'll really think about that. This one specific thing - camping out, hanging back, not diving in headfirst - nah. He's not really okay with it. It's not his style. He wants to be able to just trust people, like he always did in his memories. That's what feels right to him. But, unfortunately, he hasn't been quite himself for a long, long time.

On a bigger scope, he's not really okay with being separated from his friends, reincarnated and otherwise, and he's very much not okay with being dead and leaving everything he knew behind, and wow, it's about time he had a proper meltdown about that, huh?

That's the cool thing about text. You can say anything you want and people will have to take your word for it. ]

As far as I know, it belongs to the librarian, so you will have to ask them.

However, they are amenable to bribery by sweets!

I hope that helps matters, though it is not a particularly residential space and I am not sure you will want to stay more than a few days.

And I merely used it to open the crate, you have to get it at just the right angle.

I am not sure about that. You will have to try! I assumed that they would be most proficient in English, of the languages on Earth, because I believe this town quite resembles one in Northern America, or perhaps coastal Canada. The literature in the library is also mostly in English.
