Long story.
The short version is I screwed up. Cost me everything. My friends, my home. I lost control of myself.
My friends put me back on the right path. There was a war to win, and then we ended up here.

I don’t mean this as flippantly as it’s probably going to sound but: if your friends put you back on the right track, you probably didn’t do as good a job at losing them in the first place as you think.
