hi everybody! hope you all had an okay new years? can't say i missed the ball drop thing in new york. but i don't think i'm a huge fan of the onion thing the spirits like?

this is elle brandt, if we haven't spoken before. i have kind of a favor to ask of some of you? i'm looking for any musical instruments that we have here in beacon. either instruments you have, if you don't mind me borrowing them for just a little while, or instruments you've seen laying around somewhere (if possible). i found a kazoo in the general store but that's about it.

i won't be borrowing them for very long, hopefully. if they're really important to you, don't feel obligated. we don't have too many good distractions around here. especially if it's from your home.

this place, unfortunately. most of the time, it works but it doesn't always work how it's supposed to.

so, i could create something and it might come out...strange.

can't say i'm all that surprised. beacon likes to mess with everything it seems like. i'm all for the idea of strange instruments, assuming you'd be so kind.

i'll have to do another once-over in case i missed something. kazoos are practically cursed objects. not ideal.

There's a piano in the community center in the village. It's in relative tune now.

Is it invasive to inquire why you need a small fleet of musical instruments?

I was never trained to play an instrument. My wife is an expert flute player but, well, she is not here. I can write all the poetry you should want, though.

oh cool. that makes it simple. i'm working on a project with daylight to translate notes/tones from the ocarinas and make them accomplishable with other instruments.

if i need poetry i'll know who to come to.

i'm not trained either, but there's no time like the present and i just need tones out of the instruments. i don't need to know how to play a sonata.

a piano is perfect. hopefully it's in tune enough to count for this... and not at all. i'm working on a transcribing project, to "translate" the notes from the ocarinas into other instruments. for spirit conversation.

well, we should probably avoid anything overly large.

It's in tune enough to play, speaking from experience.

That's an interesting endeavor. I am not sure I could help you with all instruments, but the piano I could, if you needed it. I learned to play when I was a kid.

yes. i'm going to see if we can speak with them through more instruments than just the ocarinas. and what works and what doesn't.

some pointers would be great, once i collect enough to actually start! thank you. i never learned an instrument. my dad was more of a self defense nut.
