Right, so, hi everyone, my name's Elden. We've been here a few days now and I'm pretty sure everyone's already looking into whatever's going on here.
I mean, it's a big spooky, dark town, who wouldn't want to figure out what the hell was going on. So, there were a couple of things I wanted to bring up.
One is I think we need to start compiling all the info we've found out about this place so far. Even the stuff they told us when they got here. If we're ever going to figure out why this place is perpetual night that's probably what we should do. Maybe we could keep some kind of log book in the Inn to keep us up to date.
[ He pauses before bringing up his next point. ]
Second, if there's anyone willing to go into the forest with me? I'm not sure what's in there but it'd be dangerous to go in by yourself. Especially if there are undead lurking in that forest.
All right, well that's all for now. Thanks.

Not that there's anything wrong with that!!!

No....quite the opposite actually. People where I come from are usually married by seventeen and start having kids.
You know, boys AND girls. Because here's the thing...
[ Then pointedly he'll say with an edge to his voice; ]
whatever a teenager does in your world? It's different for me. So, calling me a baby? It's incredibly insulting.
People my age already start work to feed their families because there isn't enough gold to go around.

[ She can't imagine being responsible for a human life at this age... well beyond that of a superhero anyways. Raising a baby though? God, no thanks. ]
And ok look I wasn't calling you a baby. I said sophomores are like the babies of the highschool world. Also kids do that where I'm from too so like.

[ However, going to school and work? Hm. ]
Sounds like you guys have it easy. Kids don't get the option to go to school unless they're rich where I'm from.

[ She feels kind of bad now. He's from a different time so of course he'd have different feelings about his own indepedence considering what the past was like. ]
Oh, yeah. It used to be like that for us too but people kind of realize that education is you know... important. So yeah. Free for all now.
[ A pause. ]
Well, if you're rich, you can obviously pay to go to fancier schools but you know. Basically everyone can read now at least.
