so riku is definitely not at the square of the village or the armoury. where else is left to poke around...? ]

So that leaves only a few known places like the postal office and the like. [ he pauses, unsure of whether or not he should voice out these thoughts but it might be important. ] That and the... forests.

[ WELL. THAT WAS VERY WORRYING TO READ.

daylight needs a minute or two to gather his thoughts on these turn of events, making a worried sound here and there to let it be known he hadn't, like, left the conversation or anything. quite the opposite. any plans he had for the day are going to be on pause until they figure out what to do next.

the impulsive side of him wants to immediately find out who this person is and get riku back, no matter what had to be done. yet- at the same tie- he can feel the influence of dialup at this moment, trying to stay his hand and keep him calm. (easier said than done because this is riku they're talking about.). ]

Okay... First... We have to take their word in what they told you. [ he hurries to continue speaking, knowing saying that is probably... not a thing anyone wants to hear in a situation like this. ] It's the only way we can move on from this first step since we're stuck otherwise.

[ his processors hurt from trying to untangle all of this by himself, feeling flustered and stupid compared to dialup and his other friends, but he tries to continue for riku: ] They said Riku is alive, safe, and can come back to us but not right now. I, um, assume that means the more aggressive type of forests spirits can't get to him or whoever this person is when they're with him.

So that, combined with your search, means the forests, the church, the square, the village, and the armoury can be crossed out. [ because they did say riku is alive and not... with the friend underneath the trapdoor. ] We can also whittle down the susp- the people of interests by crossing out those who replied to your post and those who just arrived here.

The only thing I believe is that he's still here, somewhere in the area. We'd be idiots to take someone we don't know at their word they mean well.

We have to assume the worst is a possibility. Riku's not a slouch--maybe the reason he hasn't made it back into town himself yet is because he can't. They must have his lantern, too.

That's pretty unique. [ it's literally a part of them, after all. ] There's got to be a way for us to track that down if something like this happens.
