[Someone had been around the docks when...all of that happened, broken an arm, and spent the following days snugly shut up tight in her house. Not a weakness she wants on display, of course, but she's angry, and having been in no useful condition for supply-regathering isn't much of a boon to her pride. But a handful of days shut up are little better.]

Couple things, just, quick.

Couldn't stick around the ferry and people's chief concern seems to have been food, which is fine, but I'm wondering if anyone got gardening supplies, and if those made it? I've mentioned it in passing to a handful, but especially given the exact worry I had was just proven right, no excuse to not be proactive anymore. We have good gardening types here, and it's better for the town as a whole if we can set a couple plots up...immediately? Fast as possible. A couple of small greenhouses are kind of a must at this point too. I'm not really up to building and clearing condition right now, so anybody brave enough to turn soil and move rocks and handle basic construction, drop me a line. People I talked to before, uh, the same I guess? We can divvy up who goes where, five people per square foot's a bad spread of resources.

Second thing - I'm getting the impression nobody's liking those flowers very much. [She's...largely unperturbed. Distressingly accustomed, at this point. Were the month not getting off on such a broken foot she'd be amused.] If it's crippling and you're desperate for something, stop by and I can give you a little cone to breathe through. Plague doctor-style, but tiny. Cute. [Deadpan:] You'll look like little birds, and it'll smell like pine.

I can only supervise the building of the greenhouses right now, but I still can help with the designs like we talked about.

That suits fine, long as you can factor material we're short on. Dunno how much glass we could lift without ruining whatever's inside, but plastic can do about the same. And I'm hearing wood's tricky.

Plenty of glass in the church, I imagine. We could use that, maybe some of these cabins no one is using. We can figure it out.

I don't think everyone who repaired it would appreciate us boosting it, or the...whatever's living in there.

But cabins might work, in some part. Not entirely, but ceilings maybe.

We'd really just need the windows.

For greenhouses, I mean. I'm assuming this place is gonna get snow, we...might have more people coming, so we can't leave tons of cabins impossible to heat. Two or three panes each, if that's how it happens.

I think that the only way new people are getting here sank to the bottom of the lake.

Nothing we can say for sure yet.

And I don't think breaking up housing if anyone wants to move out of the Invincible's the best PR move - hard limit on panes, if we've got to do that.

My leg is broken, only escape method I know gone, Lighthouse keeper's pissed off, and the king of the tablets changed my username because I don't say 'thank you.'

You deserved it, if that makes you feel any better. And hopefully this all means Robin understands it was a one-time mess up and won't have us all, y'know, killed. Learning experience.

But, better news - there's someone who can make glass, evidently, so we might be able to have pretty ones after all.

Oh, yes, of course. Can't upset the Queen Bee by messing up her favorite toys.

Stealing property, injuring people who did nothing to deserve it, to bail early because you think your business matters more than anybody else's would bother anybody. I wouldn't angle for sympathy. Stiff upper lip. Move on, make yourself useful until the due's been paid.

They're going to end the world if we don't get back there and stop them. Literally end it. Billions of people will die for nothing.

Billions of people are dying where I'm from, and I'm not going to cut and run on everyone else. I can appreciate you might have some altruism there, but you gotta temper it or you'll die before you get there.

For the record? Gut feelings, no sun, weird energy all over the place - I wouldn't be shocked if this place isn't some kind of limbo. Time might not even be moving there while you're here.

Also could have imploded the ferry and everyone on it when you got too far out to the water, and Robin might have had the rest of us violently murdered. Even if you did get out, even - still no way of knowing any of us would be intact on a return trip.

Really great, having someone everyone trusts so much with their finger right over the "murder" button. Makes me want to stay here even more.

The solution to that ain't 'get me and mine out and leave the rest to die'. I don't get the impression she likes it - all the old-timers said it pretty clearly: we're here to fix something, as a unit. Holding off isn't the worst crime, but cheating everyone else out of resources and putting them in danger is selfish.

Rock and a hard place. Deep breath. Be the bigger person, walk all this off, and keep productive until we all have an out.

If you think Aziraphale would've just left everyone behind you don't know him at all. That was never his plan.
