but i've BEEN kidnapped by a pantheon of "gods" that basically drew their life force from feeding on our emotions and comparatively? these guys are more trustworthy

what i think is that we need to figure out the parameters of this place before somebody trips and falls to their death forty times in a row and stops being themselves

But I think you're right. We need to figure out what we're actually dealing with here. Maybe it's like that other world you've been to, maybe it isn't. That guy Rastus said that people come back sometimes, that it "depends", but there's no way to know that he isn't lying until we see it for ourselves.
