Also, metalworking. It feels questionable to ask for a blacksmith in the absence of fire.
Is there anyone that could teach me?

But there's an ore dock and a large display of minerals in the museum. Surely a mine must exist.

Apart from resources, mining tunnels might allow us access to the area without requiring us to pass through the forest and encounter the spirits.

what do you need magnetism for? I might be able to help.

and I can't quite answer to blacksmithing directly, but I can reform metal by my own means.

There's a disused ore dock, and the museum has a large geological section. A mining enterprise would have used tracks and rails for transportation and magnetism would help identify a location in the absence of light.

I can't sense anything directly on that scale, but I could probably set you up with a charm to help you with looking? A hotter or colder type of deal. Not magnets, but it could still help.
