Indulge my curiosity for a moment, would you?
( could you deny a face like his? could you? you couldn't. which is good because he's going to ask a somewhat morbid question. )
We're all, apparently, dead. But some of us have died again and been returned via the church. Some of us have disappeared or died and not been returned. Are they still here somewhere? Or have they been sent back to where they came from?
Those are hypothetical questions, by the way. Feel free to try and answer but I think it's going to be a lot of time that could be spent on something more fruitful.
My actual question: could the the way of dying a second time crucial to who stays and who goes? Or did those of us that have been lost end somewhere in this place that we've yet to find?
( he knows that it's not necessarily a fun thing to think about but he recalls the resurrection of his aunt hilda after her many deaths at the hands of his other aunt versus how harvey's brother had come back. two dead people returned to the land of the living but only one went on to live a relatively normal life.
ambrose knows that might be because hilda is a witch herself and tommy was a normal human. but his curiosity still stands. )
Do we need to institute the buddy system to make sure no one else wanders off and doesn't come back?
( he's joking. mostly. )

( he'll look in on it if he has the chance. )
no subject
( he likes robin but he wonders if robin knows more than she's letting on. )
no subject
( matthew, nobody who knows you would call you a team player, but go off i guess )
no subject
( wouldn't that be a sight. )
no subject
Kumbaya isn’t so bad, though it’s never the same without a guitar accompaniment.
( he’s really embracing the team atmosphere now!! soon he’ll be the mvp for his impressive team spirit...! )
no subject
( you earned this designation, matt. )

I only know how to play hymns, I'm not sure that's the sing-along vibe you're hoping for.
( and trust me, Ambrose, he only plays depressing ones. )
no subject
( because now he wants to hear these hymns. )
Besides, I bet I can spice up even the most depressing of hymns.
no subject
It could probably use some. Dare I ask how? A tambourine, maybe.
no subject
( didn't expect that one, did you, matt? )
Maybe with a side of tambourine. Something...clangy, yeah.
no subject
Just what Stricken, Smitten, and Afflicted needs.
( his extremely irish catholic father is prob rolling in his grave at this unabashed sacrilege... )
no subject
( on account on the dark lord thing and all. )
And sometimes you just need one or two things to make something dull and boring that much better. That's what I'm here for.
no subject
Maybe I should just learn to play something else, but that probably isn't a vital priority at the moment.
( finding music in braille is also a bit of a ridiculous ask... )
no subject
( such an obstacle to matt being able to learn a new jam. )
What would you learn if you could?
no subject
Hmm. Something more fun than classics, probably. Though I'll date myself if I say classic rock, it seems as if it'd be enjoyable to play.
no subject
( he's old, matt. )
Classic rock is timeless! They don't do it like they used to. I miss some of those songs.
no subject
It goes by classic for a reason, as far as I'm concerned. I'd much rather learn oldies than anything modern.
no subject
( he pauses, shudders, and makes a face. )
You are correct to stick with your classics. There is some terrible ear pollution out there right now.
no subject
( and considering back home Matt could hear things through walls and even through closed car doors, he was haunted by pop music whether he liked it or not.
that said... )
I almost miss it. There's not much in the way of any kind of music here.
no subject
( just say no, matt. )
If you're that hard up.
no subject
( don't ever make uncomfortable promises to Matt Murdock, he takes the worst advantage... )
no subject
As long as you're up there with me, I'll do it.
( misery loves company, matt. )
no subject
( he's never been, but this feels like how it happens. )
no subject
( does this place have karaoke nights? it does now. )
no subject
I suppose that's only fair.
( he's only agreed so easily because he doesn't think there's karaoke here. he's going to be eating crow if a machine ever shows up... )
