That's not exactly how the scientific method works.
You come up with a hypothesis, and then you run tests to see if it's true or false.
A good scientist tries their hardest to disprove their own theory.
But that's besides the point, seeing as how there's really no way to test anything, here.
We can't prove these things exist without waiting for the two year mark to see if they show up.
And if they don't, well, fine, we've proven that they don't exist.
But if they do, we're fucked, because we spent all our time assuming they didn't.
