I advise anyone against going to the courthouse soon, lest you've a death wish.

There's three creatures intent on consuming others there. A little larger than a man, each of them, with four limbs. Their necks split open into a mouth, complete with tongue and teeth.

It will attempt to eat you. If you're a fighting type, don't take this as an invitation to adventure-- or, if you must, at least take along a few others. I wouldn't be sorry for these spirits' death, but being eaten alive is a particularly horrifying way to die.

I'm alive. This was a mere quirk of chance, not the result of ability.

I doubt you'll be so lucky.

Not that I can tell but I have only stopped by for a few minutes per patrol

Dangerous or not, we will eventually be required to enter qne investigate. Think of the multitude of legal and historical records stored in the courthouse.

[For a guy who thrives on laws, it may contain a great treasure hidden beyond a hostile defense force. Plus, a formal place to hold discussion.]

If we do return in the near future, I am made of metal and have combat experience.

It's downtown. Take them on if you'd like-- although, again, I cannot stress how foolish an action that would be-- but at least heed this.

I was not a member of the police force on my home planet, but during our civil war, I did hold the esteemed title of Enforcer of the Tyrest Accord with regard to military law while working with other species to uphold the Code of Interplanetary Conflict. [The proudest achievement he could ever put on a CV. The last achievement in his life, which is what he expected when he was tasked with the position, but he was unhappy with his death regardless.] In summary, I have relevant interest in the courthouse and millions of years spent as a soldier.
