[He sounds so tired. His words are clipped, professional. Jovial, fun-times Hughes is apparently gone for the time being. He can't keep that act up right now.]
I'd like some input here...a distraction that I can put to use.

Tell me about the lantern colors anyone has seen besides red or green. I want to know what's...different. I don't need names or specifics, but it would be helpful to know what to expect. For us ALL to know what to expect.

I don't know what good it will do. I don't know what good anything we've tried will do.

[He suddenly clears his throat and he coughs to cover it. For a second he thought he had heard Envy's voice coming out of him again. He knew he should have done text -- but this was part of another test. He needed to see if the voice, the eyes, if that was just him or...someone else.]

So talk to me. Tell me if I sound different. Help me solve this puzzle.

[He snorts. It would almost be a laugh if it wasn't filled with such bitterness.]

He told me I died because I was a smart man. I'm starting to wonder if that was just nothing more than a lie.

[He pauses and it's almost like the message is done, but he speaks again.]

Green. Envy. It's not lost on me, but that's only relevant to me, so the green light can't be just doing that. Please, I hope some of you still have enough of your wits about you to reply to this with some information.

[He almost begs, pleads for someone to respond. He can't be left alone with Envy's voice and Envy's eyes telling him he's a monster. He can't listen to Gracia's cutting remarks either. He needs other voices and he hopes that a few of you out there can give him that.]

(ooc: Note that Maes's Lantern is GREEN. So he doesn't actually look or sound different to anyone but himself. Of course, he THINKS he sounds like his killer)

Acting weird how? I need you to be specific here. Like were there similarities in behavior?

And red is outer changes? Like eye color or shape?

[Like his eyes...but his lantern is green. Hmm. He tries to calm down after seeing the last part.]

Good. Thank you. Green must be mental or emotional somehow as well...right? But how is it different from blue? Maybe what is perceived...shit. Still not enough.

tbh i'm still not sure if there was something happening
i'm more sure that something happened to me
i remember my lantern turning green but i was
not me
sort of

the people i've met who had blue and green weren't acting like themselves
but green's more not themselves?
and blue's more like
themselves but one thing's different
i don't know i don't think my lantern's turned blue

red is people changing on the outside though i remember that
people growing parts that shouldn't be there
horns and spikes
i don't know if it's dangerous but it seems like it hurts a lot

Okay, so blue and green seems to have something to do with behavior or maybe memories. Definitely altered perceptions with green, I can vouch for that much.

Red sounds more physical, external. Could mean the interior of the person isn't effected as much, unless someone changes based on their pain tolerance.

Keep an eye out and tell me more if you think of more.

i don't think this is happening to me as much as some other people so i'll be out and around trying to help
if i come up with anything new i'll let you know

if it makes you feel any better i don't feel like i'd be able to figure out anything by myself so knowing that you're working on this makes me feel better

The green light is still present, though less bright. It's gotten better.

And yes, please. I may have had a green lantern, but I've already noticed that the effects still vary a bit from person to person.

my friend was seeing and hearing things? there was one point where he thought i was someone else and starting attacking me. he snapped out of it pretty fast, luckily, but while we were going to look for help, he was still seeing and hearing things i couldn't hear. i dunno what they were - if you want to talk to him, i can see if he'd be cool with that - but they weren't enough for him to see me as the guy he thought i was before.

i've had green three or four times now, but they're always the same. remember when i said there was more than one person here with me? i don't know if i'm just acting the way he does, or if he's actually waking up, but it's him. i remember what he does, but it's like i'm the one who's asleep, except when it stops, i remember what he does, and when it starts, he can remember what i've been doing. like i said though, i don't know if it's him actually waking up. i hope not.

If he feels up to it, but I don't know if the specifics of what are heard really matter. This seems to be a psychological effect more or less and that means each person's psyche is going to find a different way of presenting symptoms.

I wish I could tell you something more definitive for your case. My only recommendation would be to pay attention and see if you find yourself acting like him even when the light isn't green. I thought I was turning into someone unrelated to me entirely, so it's likely just another aspect of the green light. However, I also don't have your complications...so if he is waking up the easiest way to tell will be if you notice it without the effect of the light.

uh im not gonna pretend i know what that means exactly but
it does feel like it just sort of gets you where you live huh

we make some pretty different decisions and we worked really hard to keep things separate
i have a way to doublecheck if he's really been waking up or not but it's kind of hard to do on purpose
but i'll keep an eye out in the meantime
