This is Wade. Doc Hicks and I wanted to put the word out that anyone who needs medical attention now or in the future can find one of us - I'm in Room 310 and Gene's camped out by the bonfire. We're in the process of establishing a clinic in the chapel vestry for the sick and injured. If you have any information on new medical developments from your time or have any medications from the future, please share them.
And lastly: if you go out into the woods, bring one of us along. That's what we're here for.

We should be here for a few hours, take your time.
( this, assumedly, takes place after the Great Church Bone of 2k19 (thanks, rafe.) )

[True to her word, she shows up about a half hour later, pushing open the door to the church and poking her head inside to look around. She hasn't actually come around here looking before, though she's been curious.]
Hello?

Hey, missy. What can we do for you?

[She recognizes him immediately, which puts her a little more at ease, given everything. At least she's talked to him before.]
Actually, I'm thinking I might be able to help you. At least a little, anyway. I just need to know if...non-medical healing is going to freak you out at all.

If it gets the job done I don't care if it comes from the Devil himself, so long as it's savin' lives.
( healing's healing. damn near sacred callin' so far as he's concerned. )

[Her father has been called worse things than the devil, after all.
She walks a bit closer before stopping, arms crossing over her chest.]
My blood can heal people the same way it heals me. Someone cuts themselves open or breaks a bone, it'll heal up like it never happened. You'll have to get them to drink it, though. [She tilts her head, eyebrows lifting.] Still don't care?

medicine in the 1940s is still learnin'. developin'. hell, rh blood groups weren't discovered but a few years ago, and transfusion technology is limpin' along, ushered by the war. he sure don't like the concept of swillin' down blood but. if it's that or death? his life ain't his own here, he's got other souls to think on that need him an' wade both.
it's. at odds with his religion, surely. cannibalism an' all adjacent manners of it are anathema. but he ain't going to dwell on that right yet, especially not while she's here standin' in front of him askin'. wantin' to help. )
No. ( savin' lives first. he'll worry about himself later. ) Though I reckon we ought to ask individuals if they're, ah, okay with it first. Complicated subject an' all.

In my experience, people don't care about the details that much when they're in pain. Medicine is medicine.
[But her stance relaxes a little, as if she had previously been afraid of the reaction she would cause and isn't as concerned about some kind of rejection coming her way now.]
I think you could probably inject it too, but I don't know how long you can get it to keep in these conditions. This isn't exactly a proper hospital. But your...patients might be more comfortable with that. [She shrugs her shoulders apologetically.] I don't know, I'm not a doctor. I just don't want people to suffer if they don't have to, but I also don't want anyone coming after me for, you know. Being me.

I ain't got any vacuum bottles in my kit, but we could talk to Rastus about orderin' some. Bound to be a place to keep it cool if it came down to it, but. That'd be somethin' to worry about in the future. For the time bein', I appreciate you tellin' me. Could save lives down the line.

Sure. No problem. [A slow beat passes before she adds:] And if I get hurt you'll know not to waste your supplies on me.
