[Surprise is a little expected. After all, the Soldier just dropped by without sending a message first, and they're not exactly the sort Eliot probably expected. That much surprise takes the Soldier aback a little, though, and they stare back as Eliot gets his expression back under control, trying to determine just what caused that much staring. Not with eye contact, exactly, but there's a kind of baffled wariness in the semi-focused gaze.
