[The first few seconds of the recording is just Quentin breathing, fast and shaky at first and just before he speaks, the breathing evens out. The whole speech will be said fast and jerky, like the words are just spilling out without thought.]

What the hell? I can't be the only one who's thinking this, but just what the fucking hell? What the hell just happened? This place, oh shit, this place just-- did any of you see things? Hear things? Fucking feel things? And why? Just, why? I thought we were here to help, to find a way to solve this-- this whole puzzle and suddenly there's something here that made me think I was losing--? That's just-- it was just to fuck with all of us?

What the hell? That's what I want to know - just, what the hell? Is this hell? Is that why?

[That gets her a small smile, and Quentin holds the door open to let her in]

Just take a seat where ever? I should be sorry about the mess, but-- I'm really not? I mean, it's mostly just papers and, uh, a few library books. Do you want anything? I think there's tea in the kitchen? Coffee?

[ There indeed is a bit of a mess, by her standards anyways. Part of her itches to organize things a bit. Straighten up the papers. Small things like that. Part of know her knows that’d be extremely rude. So she instead sits on the cough, hands clasped tightly together in nervousness as she looks around. ]

Uh… whatever you’re getting?

Coffee it is.

[The kitchen isn't off from the living room, but more kind of behind a half-wall at one end and it's easy to keep talking even as he puts the kettle on and starts making coffee.]

Thank you, again, for bringing me this? It's getting kind of cold out and, uh, wow. You had to walk all the way out here just because I can't remember where I put my stuff down.

[And once the water boils, he pours it over the ground beans, making something that's close to coffee, if a bit strong. He brings two mugs out and folds himself cross-legged in to a chair close to the couch.]

Here you go. It's not Starbucks, but. It'll warm you up and keep you up for hours.

[ She says, shuffling over to take a seat on the couch while Quentin’s in the kitchen. She clasps her hands, hoping to stop herself from fidgeting, though it’s only mildly successful. ]

Oh uh… it’s fine really…

[ Insert more fidgeting as she does her best not to mention that the cold doesn’t bother her anyway… oh god ew. ]

I live nearby anyways so like… it’s really no big… Oh thanks!

[ She takes the cup, pulling her mask down just enough to take a small sip because what’s temperature? ]
