I think that’s the cruelest thing anyone’s ever said to me, and being blind in grade school offered plenty of opportunity for insults.

( unlike their last conversation, voice makes it abundantly clear he’s joking. even still, he kinda means it — he’s a city boy through and through, his flowerpot is for the sake of the tree baby, not suburban acclimation!!! )
