Well, I have a general knowledge of flora. And I've been reading the books!
And they're very similar to ones back on my planet, if not identical...
At least, I hope they are. They certainly look it.

Not that he was a very good gardener to begin with, but at least he kept his plants alive. That was the important part, wasn't it?
That, and he hadn't killed anyone via poison yet. But he also had plenty of help on his side.
