Did anyone see what the fuck happened to the church????

[ Attached is a photo of the main area looking like a tornado went through it. Pews are scattered everywhere: some shattered against the wall, others look like they got attacked by a large cutting instrument or something. Even the walls and floors didn't leave the incident unscatched, with quite a few new cracks and gouges decorating them. Indeed, the only thing that can be called untouched is the alter of candles up front. ]

[ He mutters under his breath something like "Crowley won't miss this" as he grabs a couple more makeshift weapons and starts heading over. ]

[ He'll find Coraline and Crowley's anxiety pow wow near the entrance of the church... well. Just Coraline's anxiety pow wow. ]

Hello! Hello Nightshade, is that you?

[ He runs over, and it's very hard to see because he'd expected her to have a more visible lantern. ]

Ah, I hope you don't mind, I didn't have another hammer-- stopped by the general store, here's a bat for you. Where's the other person you were talking to me about? I brought a tire iron for him--

[Crowley reaches out a hand to take the tire iron]

Did a bit of raiding of the house, did you?

[ She's pointing at Crowley as he takes the tire iron. She then takes the bat, looking around nervously even as she knows it really isn't going to do much good. ]

Oh uh yeah. Hi... Hello?

[lunchbreaks]

--Crowley!

[ His eyes light up, he looks so excited to see him. And then... he grows slightly suspicious, and doesn't hand him the tire iron, even if it is his tire iron. ]

I didn't really... expect you, very sorry. Quite a coincidence. Do you know who else is supposed to be here?

[ Then he turns to Coraline, totally distracted away from his previous conversation. ]

Ah, yes, that was a mistake on my part. I'm Aziraphale. Nightshade, where is the man you were talking about?

[As if this wasn't already pretty busy, out of the dark behind Aziraphale materializes one Winter Soldier. Materializes, because the lantern slung over its back now has shutters on it, keeping just about all the light safely inside so it can't betray its owner's presence until it's close enough for the other people's lanterns to give it away.

Said Winter Soldier has the earlier-requested gun out in one hand, the other made of metal and held at the ready for defense.

This probably isn't the man Nightshade was talking about, but it saw both its housemates heading into a dangerous situation and couldn't not come watch their backs.]

[Crowley gives the human soldier person a big, wide smile.]

Soldat! Glad you could make it. Ready to go monster hunting?

[ She's just about to point at Crowley again when she feels Winter Soldier approach. Letting out a small squeak, the point towards Crowley quickly shifts to the intimidating stranger. ]

[ Of course they all know each other. She shrinks back slightly, unsure of how to contribute to all this with this amount of people. ]

Monster hunting? No, no, you do that.

[ Aziraphale hands Crowley the tire iron but faces Coraline as if to say, pay this man no attention. Please. ]

--The spirit, dear girl. Have you been able to speak to the spirit? Can I see him?

[The Soldier puts its gun up, or at least points it at the sky, finger off the trigger, and looks sidelong at Nightshade. It didn't mean to scare anyone (more). It's just kind of... like that. It says, voice low and a little rough,]

I'm here for backup. You all do what you need to.

Oh, come on, the spirit is fine. We have to find who did this! It could be coming after the town next. It could still be here, angel, we can't just hang around!

[ She looks between the 3 of them, slightly overwhelmed at this turn of events, though the big stran--... Soldat?'s reassurance did help relax her a bit. Crowley's next words promptly undo that slight bit of soothing. ]

The only people who spoke with it died so like I don't know. Oh god.

[ She stretches out her senses again, still getting nothing except those with her and the new insect sized forest spirits out and about. ]

I'm still not getting anything.

Getting anything? Are you a reader of auras?

[ He starts digging through the rubble, paying absolutely no attention to the fact that she'd just said that everyone who talked to it just died... ]

[The Soldier looks between Crowley and Aziraphale, huffs a tiny little sigh, and heads over to help roll some of the rubble away from whatever Aziraphale is digging for. Metal arms are useful that way. So's super-strength. The gun stays ready, just in case, but the place doesn't look like there is any actual trouble left.

And the mess doesn't look like it was made by a "monster", anyway.]

[Crowley is not having any of this]

Is anyone listening to her? She says everyone who talked to the spirit is dead! And the monster who did this to the church is probably still around! We shouldn't be standing here picking through what's happened, we should be--

[He gestures emphatically in the opposite direction]

Uh... not really...

[ She stands paralyzed between Aziraphale and Crowley, not sure exactly who to help out. Though she does feel the need to assuage at least some of his worry. ]

Uh the whole talking to the spirit and dying thing isn’t like… connected. I think… pretty sure. And nothing’s close by like. Right now?
