Hey I've got a quick question for everyone, mostly those of you who aren't as new as I am (my name's Remi, hi). Has there been any kind of running encyclopedia going about the different spirits that you've run into? I was kind of thinking that I'd like to take notes, but I don't want to step on any toes since I already have some other projects going.

Which I guess I might as well bring up, too, while I'm at it. If you want to help with any specific kind of building project, let me know? I'm not going to start anything until I talk to Rastus about supplies, but I'm a woodworker, so I volunteered [sort of] to help out with building repairs and additions and whatnot.

Yeah, yeah, totally! I'll let you know once I take a full inventory what could just use some basic repairs and upkeep instead of a full constructive overhaul.

I don't think I could do an overhaul? On, like, anything? But let me know when you need me? Texting might be the easiest way to find me.

There's some information in the Town Hall. People have been working on things.

What kind of woodworking?

I don't have much of a green thumb, but I can build window boxes and other gardening plots if that'll help.

As far as a project: the church was torn up in the last few days. If you'd be willing to repair the damages, I'll do what I can to assist you.

Couldn't tell you when, exactly, but recently.

I want to help if possible, though I can't claim to have any experience in wood working.

Planter boxes would do quite well. And possibly some fencing to keep others from trundling over sprouts. Any help is good help, Remi.

I'm not much at conversation but the more the merrier. I think I'm going to need all the help I can get with how few supplies we have.

And you have experience with both?

( Matt is sort of a Talker, it comes with both being a lawyer and also being blind, he likes to be told what is happening. still, if it gets the church fixed, he'll be a quiet little church mouse. )

That's fine, I don't mind. What sort of supplies will you need? I'll see what I can find scrounging around.

I've never built an entire house from scratch before? I mean, not a life-sized one. But I've built miniatures with realistic structuring, so that's more or less the same premise, I think...

But yeah I've built pieces of furniture.

Has anyone said anything about your spirit idea?

Not really, no
Mostly just that I should look and see what information's already been listed at the town hall.

But I'd really like to hear some detailed firsthand encounters. I think it would help everyone if we really, ah, documented the population.

The spirits a lot of us have experience with are peaceful. The postmaster is helpful. But it's always a good idea to be careful.

Right. Exactly, yeah. Even the kindest or gentlest seeming spirit can turn on you if you cross them. And they're all generally far from harmless.

[He doesn't want to think about it let alone actually document them. But...safety first. It's important.]

And it's likely that even the most dangerous of spirits will have some kind of weakness, even if it's just enough to distract them and get to safety. I'd like to detail all of the ones we come across, regardless of how often they can be found. Just in case they come back again.

Where would we record that? On the phones?

And how are you going to find out about weaknesses without hurting them while they're peaceful?

Yeah, just taking notes on your phone would be helpful, and we can turn them in to a collective space every so often...

I don't think we should go out of our way to find any of that information, since we don't want to agitate anyone.

Good. They are usually peaceful. They can do a lot of damage, so we don't need to set them off.

I believe it. I've seen firsthand what spirits can do to a person when they're angry, so, anything we can do to avoid that...

I hope you don't have to see it again.
